We spent two nights in this lovely place with our three children and we loved it ! This is very cute, cosy, quiet, clean, and you feel like at home as everybody is so friendly. They do their best to make you very happy. They take care of your visits and make everything easy for you. The service is really more than you can expect. They even sent us our camera in phnomh Penh as we forgot it in the car ! This is a really nice place with trustful and nice people, and for sure we will come back there !

The owner, Rottanah and his family, are the most friendly and caring people we have met during our trip through cambodia.
The resort has 10 very comfy and quiet bungalows, a clean and natural pool (little or not clorinated?), very yummy food and cheap drinks (try the mango-juice!) and first class service.

If you need any help or advice, the family (esp. Rottanah) will take care!
(Cookling class, Tuk-Tuk, Boat Tickets, Bus Tickets, Hotels in other cities, laundry,...)

They speak English and French.

Battambang is a rather small and quit village near the border to Thailand.
We recommend to stay at least 2 nights, take a trip to the green countryside, book a cooking class in town and then take the boat to travel to Sieam Reap.

After a very nice boat trip from Siem Reap we arrived at Phka Villa. However the reception area could need a little renovation, inside the rooms are very comfortable. Good bed, a convenient bathroom (even with bathrobes), a terrace etc. The pool is lovely, some more sunbeds would be nice if the hotel is fully booked, but during our stay it was not a problem. Every day you will find fresh flowers on the beds and in the bathroom. The owners are very kind and do really everything to make the guests feel welcome. It is recommended to visit the circus in Battambang. For us it was one of the highlights in Cambodia!!! The owner made us nice sandwiches for free for our bus trip to Phnom Penh. He apologized for some renovation to be done because of the floods, but we really liked our stay. We hope for him the tourist season will be good for him to have enough money for some repairs. We certainly liked to stay here!

Nice hotel with a a great pool, a bit off the city centre (10mn walk) but a tuktuk will get you there for 1-2 USD.
The staff was very, very nice : as we were checking out to go to Siem Reap by bus, they got us a complimentary lunch pack, how lovely !
Would highly recommend.

We stayed only for one night in this nice little hotel. Staff was great, they helped us with transportation and even provided us with sandwiches for our trips. Rooms are super clean and cozy, however the place could need some renovation. Good value for money

Dear, ElCheapo

A warm greeting from Phka Villa Hotel battambang, Cambodia!

Thanks for your positive reviews. I am so pleased to hear that you have enjoyed the stay at our little boutique hotel. I and the family( Cambodian) so delighted to have an opportunity to serve you and to be your host during your holiday in Battambang.

Also, We are glade that you found our room clean and cozy. We will find the good time in low season a head to do the renovation as we planed too. As during monsoon season last year, 2011, the place has suffered from too much rain and flooding, so our exterior out door was a bit damage and look a bit old.

Again, thank you so much for your good comments, and enjoyed our true local Cambodian Hospitality.

I and the family wishes you all the best, and happy new year!.

Kind regards,
Ratanak Mr. and the family.

My father and I stayed in a clean twin bungalow. The family that runs the business was very friendly and helpful. We don't usually eat at our hotels, but dinner by the pool at Phka Villa was good and I am glad that we did. The internet connection was strong and I was able to 'facetime' with my husband in California. I also recommend our tuk-tuk driver, Mr. Scorpio who spoke English clearly and was our guide.

Made a reservation here over a month ago. When we tried to check in today was told there Weren't any rooms. There was a family of six in the lobby with the same problem. Interetingly there was room at their sister hotel, The Bungalow. I think this is a ploy to get guests at the other hotel, which is far from town and rundown.

Dear, Wacko

First of all, I would like to express our heart deep feel to apology for this to happen to you accordingly.

We remembered you well, and your reservation made through hostel-world.com, as we had a problem with log in to extra-net system and we unsuccessfully close the room on time when we full. Also I and the family really up set as such this big mistake happened to its guest.

We has tried to the best asking for rooms at boutique hotels in Battambang with similar rank or higher for you and for a family for six unfortunately all full. We tried to get you to our sister hotel in a way we would like to make sure you will have somewhere to stay, not in a bad way.

We will make sure more office management training to our staff family, and to avoid this same problem happen again or happen to our next future guests.

Again, I and the family would like to say sorry and thanks you for your comments

Kind regards,

Ratanak Mr.
