This was our favorite hotel when we stayed in Myanmar. It has a Myanmar style, while all others in Mandalay have a Chinese style, it has a good working air con, they provide soap, shampoo, conditioner - hardly ever see that one, and plenty of towels and water for the day. The staff are very attentive and very friendly, the buffet breakfast was great, with both western and eastern Asian choices, the pool was very handy and chlorinated - I'm glad to know it was clean for this reason, It was located close to a road with many choices in restaurants and a few choices in massage parlors, there are a few souvenir shops nearby, you can rent bicycles and e-bikes from the place. I broke a glass that they wanted to charge me for, but when I mentioned how bad the was, they took off the charge. This was unexpected, but helps in making the choice to stay with them again and to recommend them.
Cons: You must pay to rent the bikes, even if you want to only go down the street
It is not close enough to get to the temples just on a whim
The wifi, like many others mention is horrible - this was our experience throughout the country.
The staff helped to tell our bus driver where to drop us off in Mandalay. We did not get the same service in Mandalay when leaving our hotel there, which was the Yuan Sheng hotel. Overall, I recommend this place.

Room tip: Bottom floor for access to the pool or top floor for access to the breakfast. No elevator here

Really nice hotel, basic rooms but you get what you pay for. Pool is really nice and the food options are good and priced well.

The breakfast selection could be better - it would be nice to have some more variety.

The only issue we had was the staff stared at us a lot which was really uncomfortable especially when we were at breakfast or by the pool. Other than that staff were really helpful and would defo stay here again!

Delicious breakfast but you have to walk to 3rd floor, nice room, staff is very friendly, nice pool.
Just one thing need to be improve, fans or air condition should be equipped in breakfast area because the weather is very hot.
Everything elses is good.

Our flight arrived early in the morning so we didn't expect to be able to get our rooms when we arrived at 9 am. But they had the room ready and gave it to us immediately which was wonderful. The hotel itself is very lovely with nice gardens and a pool which we used several times during the 4 days we spent in Nyaung U. Our room was a good size, very clean, with a tv, AC and a fridge. The room didn't have an individual safe but that wasn't a problem for us.Breakfast was also very good with a nice selection of food served buffet style. The staff spoke English very well and were very helpful; they gave lots of advice and information and we booked a one day taxi tour to take us around to many of the temples in the area. The driver/guide was very good and we had an excellent day, ending with a view of the sunset over Bagan. The location of the hotel was also very good, a nice quiet area yet only a short walk from the main part of town and the restaurant street.

I had a great experience at this hotel in March. Check in was efficient and thorough with plenty of info provided and the staff spoke excellent english and were very attentive. The lobby is airy and attractive with a large hippo carving which is really cute and great for photos. The pool although private can be viewed from the lobby and is conveniently placed with a pool side bar well attended by staff. The room were nice and cool, very comfortable with the usual hotel provisions. The staff come around a spray additional mosquito/insect spray in the room in the evenings, plus there are repellents strategically placed around the hotel. The breakfast area is lovely with a great selection of foods to satisfy all tastes. Even the coffee was pretty good (I don't find Asian coffee fabulous generally)! There is an ATM in the lobby for easy access and plenty of local papers (english and myanmar) as well as a traveller's library in the lobby also for lazy days around the pool. We found a great service in the "7star information Taxi, E-bike & Car rental Service" across the road where we had a guided tour by the fabulous "Khin Zaw" on E-bikes around Bagan with lots of info on the history of the region and Buddhism (I did not know much about it so the complexity was quite astounding). Made my limited time in Bagan well worth it! There are heaps of restaurants and massage available nearby. Highly recommend this hotel and the 7star experience on electric bikes.
