“best services offered”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

I stayed there 3 nights with my wife for our holiday. The hotel has run only for 2 years, so all facilities are still new. More importantly, we feel the best services offered by all staffs. They are very polite, "Min-ga-la-ba" (Myanmar greeting) everywhere, and treat you like their family members. They try their best to meet all requirements from guests, whatever transportation, food, room service etc.

I traveled a lot of places in the world, i have to say it's one of the best hotels where i stayed in terms of service.

Room Tip: Room of "Lake view" is worthy of booking.

Very nice luxurious villas, nice size rooms although the setting is a little different, wifi worked in the room occasionally, breakfast and restaurant for dinner very good, unfortunately was supposed to stay 2 nights hotel was full only stayed one night then moved to a terrible hotel the Hupin Kaun Dain which spoiled a little bit of our Inle part of the trip.

Room Tip: This hotel requires a minimum 2 night stay

Cannot speak more highly of this beautiful resort. Peaceful, extremely well trained staff who are very customer focussed. We stayed for two nights in August 2013 and would love to have stayed longer. Rooms are well serviced and spacious. Local trips to the floating villages are well worth it. We certainly felt very special and hated to say goodbye.

Room Tip: Over the lake are the best rooms but the whole resort has a peaceful ambience

Inle Lake is a magical place. And the Aureum Palace seems like a lovely place. But me and my mom got robbed from the locker inside our room. International credit cards don't work in Myanmar, so we had to carry cash. And although we know we are not supposed to leave it in the locker in the room, it was a long trip, we were in paradise, it just seemed impossible, we didn't even think about the possibility of been robbed in such a nice place. So, one night we get to the room and our locker has an error, we get some to open it for us. Whoever does it is pretty smart because it doesn't take all the money you have. Otherwise, you would notice right away, it takes some. Since we had that problem with our locker, and a friend of ours, also had the same problem with the locker in his room, I got suspicious and decided to count the money. There was a lot missing! Over U$1.000! We call the manager, who said all the lockers in all the rooms have been having this problem for a long time! He called the staff, searched for the money, but of course he didn't find it. And that was it! It was so upsetting! My guess is whoever did it, has been doing for a long time, but is smart enough to take some of your money. A couple of other people from my group think they might have been robbed too, but since they missed about U$200, they can't really be sure.
So, my advice, there's a lot of other paradise hotels in Inle Lake. Go to another one! Do not leave your money in the locker and enjoy one of the most beautiful and slow paced places on Earth!

Aureum Palace on Inle Lake is one of the most magical and unique hotels I have ever had the pleasure to experience. This hotel sets the standards for hospitality and elegance!

Arrival is by longboat and seeing the hotel n the distance, I was hoping this was to be my place to stay on Inle Lake.

From the moment I stepped off the dock, Pa Pa Min, our hostess and manager, was there with her friendly staff to greet us and it was wonderful to feel so welcome after a long journey.

The villas are spacious and beautifully decorated with a sea of floating flowers in our bathroom, gracefully draped netting over the beds, a comfortable lounging area, and an enormous balcony on the water with the most spectacular sunsets.

Every morning we were greeted by Pa Pa Min, with her welcoming smile, as we joyfully sampled the enormous selection of Western and local cuisine, with generous portions before we set off for a day of adventure on the Lake.

Our daily excursions were also a highlight of this trip. Hours on the water...passing villages built entirely on stilts as they perched over the waterways which brought an unexpected surprise around every corner. Entire crops of fresh vegetables are grown on the water and the fishermen with nets extended were part of life on the Lake.

And at the end of the day it was wonderful to return to our Palace and enjoy a swim before heading up to the lounge for drinks and brilliant sunsets.

My only regret~ was leaving. I hope everyone has an opportunity to see and experience true warmth and kindness that was the most integral part of my stay at the Aureum Palace on Inle Lake.
I will return soon.

The Aureum Palace and Resort is the ideal location to enjoy the sights on and around Inle Lake. The location on the lake is perfect for enjoying the splendors of the lake and the beauty of sunrises and sunsets. The accommodations are well appointed and the staff goes out of its way to provide superb customer satisfaction despite the potential language issues. My wife and I look forward to returning to Aureum Palace in a few years to once again enjoy this wonderful culture and part of our world.

We had a villa on concrete stilts facing the lake to our own. Very spacious but furnitures not ergonomically positioned (ie. TV is blocked by the curtain blind of the bedding & no TV in front of the sofa set on the other room corner). No Wi-Fi available at the villas (unlike it's sister hotel in Bagan) except for the reception lobby area. SPA & restaurant activities closes at 9.00pm. For those who stay late night, the only entertainment will be cable TV.

Room Tip: Try to ask for villas closer to the hotel clubhouse. Some villas are more than 200 meters away &...
