“Best meal we had in Nyaungshwe”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

The title says it all. We enjoyed both the Thai and Myanmar cuisines here. Lovely setting. A few blocks away from the main street so you will need to seek it out. Enjoy!

“Nice Food”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

I went here for lunch and had great service, well I was the only customer there so they weren't busy. It's a very nice looking restaurant compared to the ones on the main road and it was nice to sit in the shade on the verandah with a slight breeze to break the heat. The food was good. The vegetable spring rolls were fabulous. I found the portions quite big and couldn't eat all of mine. A nice place.

“dissapointing”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

We went to the restaurant as it had nice reviews but we were completely dissapointed. the Staff were watching a movie so we were left unatended for a while, the place doesn't look clean at all and food wasn't great.

“nice restaurant”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

We ate at the restaurant in town, we did not try their other one on the lake. We were staying at Mingalar Inn a few minutes walk away (see review) so this was convenient for us. This is one restaurant that ‘looks’ more like a restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating (on a verandah). The menu has a huge selection with all sorts of thai curries, stir fries and the like. We had a green curry which was rather hot, so order mild unless you like the heat. Pad Thai was rather tasty so too was the fried rice. There was also pasta on the menu. Surprisingly alcohol was cheap here with a Pina Colada around $4 and other cocktails around $3.50.
Tables were set with table cloths, cloth serviettes and wine glasses. There were numerous staff, very few customers (quiet season). Staff were attentive, always checking things were ok and topping up our water.
Overall I would recommend this restaurant as a place to try while in this area.
