“Good food, a little disapointed by the service”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

The best choice of food in the area and a degustation menu that is really a good way to discover new tastes and get a good overview of the Shan dishes. The wine card is probably the widest we have seen in Myanmar, only good choices.
only downer, the service can become a bit slow and unefficient when the room is full (and it is easily full).

“good food but expensive compared to the country”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

The restaurant is in the first floor situated at the river front of Inle lake overlooking the river and the town of Nyaungshwe. We tried the Shan food platter, which is costly for the country but really excellent and is a good choice. They also serve a lot of delicious small starters, all not cheap. Their staff is working fast and is friendly.

“Great Food in a Vibrant Town!”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

We arrived in Nyaung Shwe on October 13, 2012 from Bagan. We were booked for lunch our first dsy of four days at Inle Princess. The restaurant is highly attractive with waterfront lodge in the rear with tasteful rooms. Lunch was on a spacious and scenic rooftop. Our meal was a French inspired rendtion of Shan cruise. Fourst courses included green tomato salad, chicken satay, fish balls (excellent) and crispy shrimp fritters. This was enough for a full meal but the next courses were just as extensive and delicious -- chicken curry, vegetable curry, local fish in banana leaves (great) and more. French/Swiss owner knows food and has an impeccible wine list of carefully stored wines at good prices.

“average food at high prices”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

As others have said, the setting of this restaurant is very nice, overlooking the water (though this means you'll get nibbled by mosquitos, so spray yourself before you go). If you're lucky and there's a breeze, it is nice. We got the Shan sampling menu, which comes in two courses. In each course, there was one thing we really liked and the rest was mediocre. We're adventurous eaters, it's not that the food was unusual....in fact, it's that the food was uninteresting and bland. There are much more interesting eating options down the street at much more reasonable prices.
