I can only agree with other reviewers, this is a beautiful hotel complex and I am surprised that it only gets a three star rating. We only could stay one night unfortunately. There could be a little noisy if you stay in a 'bungalow' facing the lake as the boats do start early and they have very noisy outboard motors.

You arrive by boat and are given a warm welcome before being escorted to your room which may be a detached bungalow or semi-detached cottage. Many have lake views or overlook water and there are outside patios with furniture and secure bug screens on doors and windows. The room with separate dressing area and bathroom was clean and comfortable and well laid out. Towels were rather worn and grey and we had a strange large boiler thing instead of a kettle.
Food at breakfast, which could be taken outside in the morning sunshine, was quite good but the egg bar was very crowded when tour groups arrived to eat. We had good evening meals in the restaurant which is stylish with an impressive high ceiling. Drink prices were the highest we experienced in Myanmar and we did not appreciate have another $ added to the bill if a drink was ordered in the restaurant.
Very nice use of natural materials and lots of nice natural planting.

Room Tip: If you can afford it, go for a lake view.

A stylish hotel, with lots of lovely touches.Seems to be very well run by the most helpful Fabian and William.
We had a very cold and wet boat trip to arrive at the hotel, but fortunately it cleared up the next day for our main boat trip.It was still pretty chilly on the water and didn't really warm up untill nearly mid-day.We really enjoyed the vast floating gardens, whole towns on stilts, and the visit to Indein Village.Even though this was at the end of our Mayanmar holiday and we had seen more than enough temples/stupas by then, it was still most interesting.
Our upper Lake View room was great, very peaceful and surrounded by tropical gardens.
I was told that they are fully booked for 6 months of the year so they must be doing something right. There probably wouldn't be a lot to do there for children.

A boutique quality hotel,  designed with a gentle touch and flair. Using local motives combined with japanese elements and "real " materials, mainly wood, create a very good ambiance. The staff is extremely pleasant, well trained and ready to help. Most have a good to reasonable command of English, so no communication problems.
The room we stayed in,  a junior suite, is very spacious and comfortable.
A huge bed, comfy sofa built in under a boxed window, writing desk, comfortable furniture. A terrace with two lounge beds facing the lake in the distance. Bathroom is of a good size, bathtub and toilet are separated from the washroom.
The hotel's grounds are beautiful with well maintained gardens.
The restaurant is designed in Japanese style. The menu is mixed, local, Asian and western. Prices are typical for a hotel of this standard in Myanmar, obviously much dearer then the local restaurants.
The breakfast is continental-French. Fresh produce, nicely presented yet the variety is limited. Note to the managers: a breakfast menu placed on the table would be very helpful.
In summary: this hotel is an excellent choice for your usual two day stint to the Inle lake area. Typically, you'd be picked up by your travel operator in the morning and returned to the hotel in the late afternoon. Beyond that, for a longer stay, the resort offers limited facilities, beyond a spa.
There is a rear road access to the adjoining village, the main access is by boat.

This place is run by a Belgian/ French team and offers stylish European comfort of the highest quality, one feels almost like touring through Haute Savoie or around Lac Leman.
The rooms are impeccable, some offer a stunning lake view. The premises are situated a couple of hundred meters off shore, a great advantage considering the very noisy Chinese boat motors which replace, alas, more and more the leg - rowing traditional fishermen and gardeners.
Breakfast does not come as buffet, it is continental style and very, very smartly served.
The dinner menu features mainly elegant European dishes with a slight South East Asian cross over and can become quite expensive, especially if you decide to wallow in the wine list.
If so, try the local Inle lake wines, they are much cheaper than the foreign ones and some of them are quite delicious. We liked especially the Cuvée Tempranillo/ Syrah, the Syrah; and the Pinot Noir is a good combo with the spicier Burmese influenced fish dishes. The whites are a bit more problematic, the Sauvignon Blanc is even for that grape considerably perfumed and very fruity. Have it, if at all, along with a really spicy fish curry!
And: Behind the hotel via land entrance is the village. Turn right, walk for maybe five to seven minutes and find to your right the local restaurant. Terrific Burmese food, the Inle Lake wines half as expensive as the night before with our Francophone hosts, the ambiance rough and kitschy, but very, very charming. We loved it!!

Great place to stay along Inle Lake. Probably the most expensive option as well at the time of the review, but worth the money. Loved everything about it. Ask the chef in the restaurant about some of the food options that are not on the menu. the menu is a bit 'westernized' and the chefs can make some more interesting local options for you as well.

We loved this place! We spent 4 days here, two with a guide on the lake (fascinating), and two doing very little except visiting the Red Mountain Winery (fantastic wine by any standards) and going out on the lake with a man from the local village - Myo Min Hlaing - 09 41008315or 09-428320044 or 09-428363595. He took us four a couple of hours at sunset to villages and gardens in which we didn't see any other tourist at all - fabulous. There is no where much to eat conveniently except at the hotel, which wasn't cheap but it was good and the service, and attention from William, was fantastic. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Because we booked late we had to change twice so checked out many different ones, with difference pr...
