A cute little hotel (13 rooms) with modern decor, great design solutions, in-house restaurant, summer garden and rooftop bar and wonderful location. Everything went smooth: they made my weekend memorable!

Room Tip: for an extra fee, you can have a room with a view: the nearby hilltop fortress

It’s a small but nice with 12+1 (not 13 but 12+1 as our key wrote ;) ) spacy rooms, just opposite Tsarevets castle. Some rooms have view at the castle but are a little more expensive. It has a nice terrace where you can sit and enjoy the great view to the castle and to the town. Breakfast is great too.

Hotel Studio is located at the edge of the town, just 100 m from the entrance into the Tsarevets Fortress. There is a spectacular view from the terrace on the top of the buillding to the fortress as well as into town with the cathedral. The rooms are very well decorated and clean. Room # 7 has a fantastic view of the fortress - particularly in the afternoon/evening when the sun shines right onto the fortress. The reception staff were very friendly and sweet and gave us good recommodations for activities and things to see. Very highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room 7 has a great view to the fortress.

The location is excellent and the rooms are nicely furnished and clean. Hotel staff was really helpful. Breakfast was basic but not bad. The only downside is that the bed felt rather small for 2 people, at least the one we had in our room. Overall, we enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a room that overlooks Tsarevets.

Lovely hotel with funky decor. Great roof terrace with a perfect view of the fortress. Breakfast was very good but shame it was in the basement. Good deal at 36 euros / night for two in July. Wifi available and a computer in the foyer area. Free parking nearby.

Wonderful roof terrace – we watched the sound and light show at the fortress from the terrace on our first night, which was a fantastic bonus; the staff took particular care to let us know about this so we could get back from dinner in time to see it. Obviously it is close to fortress, for great views, although this means its not right in the restaurant area of town.
Really helpful staff.
However, there were some flaws: Poor lighting in our room, especially over the “desk” (no lighting at all), and also hard to see when in the hallway, for opening the door. The desk was awkward as it had a shelf which meant you couldn’t sit at it comfortably (to use a computer etc). There were several minor maintenance issues in our room and the hotel.
Good double bed. Very clean hotel.
When we visited, there were major road works which are going on at this end of town (for another month or so?) improving the area in front of the fortress. In the meantime, access to the hotel is a little difficult, but once they're finished, I think it will be wonderful.

We would stay at this hotel again once the construction in the area is complete. The staff does its best to assist the guests with the every changing state of the roads surrounding the hotel. The hotel itself has a great location right in front of the fortress. There's a great view from the rooftop patio. The triple room we had was clean and spacious. The balcony is very tiny, but you can see the fortress if you look between the buildings. Breakfast is adequate. The staff is very friendly with excellent English. The construction is the big challenge. It is supposed to be complete in the fall. With the progress we saw in the two nights here, it is possible. Today there is no way to drive up to the hotel. We had to lug our bags about a block through piles of dirt and stone. The staff did offer to help. There is no elevator in the hotel and all rooms require some stairs. Luckily we were on the second floor.

Room Tip: Some rooms would have a spectacular view of the fortress but may require several sets of stairs.
