Hotel room was very spacious with good size balcony, but unfortunately no sun after midday due to position. The whole hotel was kept exceptionally clean and there was a lovely but small outdoor pool and large indoor pool. However during our stay the jacuzzi and sauna were not working. You had to pay extra for the Turkish bath and had to ask for the steam room to be turned on. Also the night club was closed during our stay and were tiold it closes at end of August, but not told this when we booked, so the bar upstairs shuts at 11pm on the dot and they then turn the lights off even if you are still sitting at 11.30pm sharp! Only local spirits included in all inclusive and some dreadful white and red wine.
Position of hotel - right on the beach and only a 10 minute walk to Old Nessebar. About 1hr 15min walk to Sunny beach or you canwalk to old Nessebar and then pay for two "mini trains" which costs 6 lev per person one way. A taxi costs approx. 20 lev.
Food - worst thing about the hotel and the holiday - the food was absolutely shocking! It was cold, same stuff over and over and so bland - don't think they realise what slat/pepper/spices are! Meat was terrible - tough as old boots and they couldn't even fry chips as every time you got abatch there was also some that were raw! Restaurants outside the hotel better, but still not great!
Staff - mixed -the animation staff were very friendly (possibly bordering on annoying as they would bother you every day even if they could see you were trying to sleep in the sun on your sun lounger). Bar man at main bar really friendly. However, the rest of the staff were absolutely miserable, unhelpful and rude - you could stand for about 10 mins with 2 women on reception before they even acknowledged you and then they were very abrupt.
Rep was ok - Margarita and reps on outings were excellent - very friendly and very funny.
Don't do the traditional folklore night or flea market/wine tasting - waste of money - just go yourself by local bus much cheaper.

I stayed on an all inclusive stay at Bilyana Beach Hotel for a week with my bf and my parents. Overall, the hotel lived up to our expectations, but there were some things that disappointed us. If I was to go back to Nessebar some time in the future, I wouldn't mind staying here again though.

Advantages:
> Nice large varied buffet that was changed a bit everyday
> Great location. Right on the beach, only a short walk fra the Old Town and a short (and inexpensive) bus ride from Sunny Beach
> Free WiFi (although a couple of times it wasn't working)
> Pretty well eqipped gym
> Nice and inexpensive (atleast compared to my home country) spa center
> Nice indoor and outdoor pool

Disadvantages
> Very few choices of beverages in restaurant bar for all inclusive guests (eventhough we could see Red Bulls in the bar fridge, the bartender claimed to not have any, and failed to explain why they were in the fridge then!)
> Very few staff members spoke and understood English well (don't see that as a high demand for a 4 star hotel)
> Hotel rooms and gym were too dirty for a 4 star hotel. From check in to check out we had a squashed bloody bug on our bathroom wall and also stained sheets!
> Way too few free beach chairs by the pool. And a completely lame system, where people would go down in the middle of the night and put their towels on the chairs reserving them for the next day, which the hotel did nothing about.

arrived on 24 may. ok, we arrived 11pm to a closed bar, BUT, we were allowed into restaurant for cold buffet, not ideal,I know but the staff in kitchen work so hard from 6am, and they shouldnt be expected to stay til midnight, and having ate on plane, were not too hungry, we did get a non stop supply of the wine, few of the staff were wonderful, and just kept us filled up with wine all week, we noticed the lobby bar was closed, as there was a "meeting" taking place, (the hotel is frequented by guys pulling up in lamborghinis, mercs,Bmws!!! so we avoided this for the week,( they lost a lot of our money as we spent it in bar outside hotel)
I did ask to move rooms, as I was not happy with the two single beds, but after viewing the "SUPERB APARTMENTS". (more like sheltered accomodation),we decided to stay where we were..how glad , at 7.30-8.30am there was dolphins swimming up and down in the bay, our view of old nessebar was amazing,
room was very clean, shower was really good, there was always hot water, towels were changed daily,
the pool area does cleaning daily, and all inclusive should mean all bars, including the lobby,we did eat out quite a bit, but learned , lunch is best meal,
the bar didnt even have lime juice.(good job I brought my own),
we came home sick of pizza,as this was best food in hotel after 2pm,
the beach should be free, 10levs(.£5), for a sunbed is a bit steep,
if you dont mind nudists, their beach is but 100yds to the right of hotel, we found this out after an afternoon stroll..haha, I nearly died..
the "wonderful" animation team needed drowning in the pool, all they would ask was if anyone wanted to do water aerobics.when we all just wanted to relax during the day
evening entertainment was non existant.
they couldnt organise a p*ss up in a brewery, let alone get the guests going..
gym was a bit filthy, walls falling apart, and guests are only allowed in steam/sauna once a week,
hotel does need decorating, paints falling off walls in parts,
there was no ala carte restaurant as stated
all in all, location is great, and the staff are really pleasant.

Firstly please note this hotel is NOT 5 star, the hotel it's self is 4star and the restaurant is 3star!!
If your a seasoned traveller who appreciates the finer things on a holiday then this isn't the place for you.
The indoor pool is the best feature of this hotel, although be aware you get given a green card to use the Steam Room OR Sauna only ONCE in your visit!
The rooms are spacious and comfotable and well looked after by the pleasant housekeeping staff, there is a fridge in the room and A/C.
The staff, well mixed reviews of the staff a handful of them are friendly to the point of smiling and saying hi, the rest are very rude and ignorant and hardly speak a word of english.
The food is very repetative and school dinner style, In my opinion i would only expect food of that kind in a 2star less hotel! Its very much the same thing day in day out and you will find that your lunch is the recycled leftovers from breakfast, dinner is recycled leftovers from lunch etc etc
The All Inclusive is a bit of a joke in this hotel as you can only get your drinks from the restaurant or pizza bar, the smart lobby bar you have to pay.
There was zero evening entertainment and due to the location an evening walk is dubious.
The location of this hotel is not as described it is down an uneven road in the middle of lots of other buildings undergoing buliding work.
It will take approx 20-25 minutes to walk to Nessebar Old Town from this hotel.
Although the hotel is located on the beach front beaware you will have to pay for sunbeds if you choose to use them!
All in all we came away from this holiday feeling we would never return to Bulgaria.

We really liked this hotel, the facilities were perfect for us. The hotel is right on the beach, and I'm not kidding ! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was OK, the choice wasn't vast; but they made an effort to do baked beans, sausage and egg if you wanted it. There's an on-site restaurant which we ate in, and found there to be a decent choice and the prices were reasonable. If you like pampering, this is the hotel for you. All residents get to use the gym and swimming pool (one indoor, one outdoor) for free, additional to this, you can use the sauna & steam room for a small charge of approx £2.50. There is also choice of some wondering pampering treatments ( I had an 80 minute all-over body massgage which cost about £35) There are supermarkets and restaurants within 5 minute walk from the hotel, and it's 15 minute walk into Old Nessebar.
