Had 2 lovely meals at Zornitza overlooking the sea in Nessebar. They have fresh fish which was delicious and portions are quite big so good value for money!

I stumbled upon this restaurant today while on a day trip to old nessebar town and what a mistake it was!

I would have given this restaurant 0 for both food and value if it were an option, but unfortunately it wasn't.

The food is overpriced, an average of 30 lev for the mains and 12 lev for entrees and yet the quality does not justify the high prices.

We ordered the prawn salad and mussels with 'white wine' but what we got was over cooked, dry and tasteless mussels cooked with a few chicken stock cubes. The only flavor I got from this dish was salt.

The waiter did not bring me a spoon or fork and I had to eat the mussels with my hands!

The waiter had a terrible attitude like he did not want to be there and it was a real chore to serve people.

Zornitza & Sevina are in an enviable position almost overlooking the harbour in wonderful old Nessebar. My wife and I visited both to avoid further ear damage from the oh so noisy Sunny Beach (what a dramatic change in 9 years). Please do not misunderstand, we both like a lively environment on holiday but there is a limit. Nessebar offers an excellent location to have a choice.

In both of these restaurants we found the food excellently cooked and served by staff who are prepared to advise and help, particularly if you ask them for advice and help on pronunciation of the Bulgarian language!. Not surprisingly they love the respect shown. Bulgarian wine is excellent value for money and the advice given her is first class. There will be one that you like.

Cannot say it is the best meal we have ever had as it depends on the style of restaurant visited and this is an unfair question for TA to ask. Would we go back - yes every time!

Trip Adviser is a very good forum - love using it but when it comes to restaurants there are many different styles and it would be good to have the opportunity to, almost have a classification of the styles.

This is a review of Zornitza's sister restaurant next door, Sevina. We were recommended to come here by a local woman working at a small church/museum. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful sea view, with our cruise ship in the background and the seagulls flying by. There is a lot of fresh seafood on the menu from the Black Sea. The seafood risotto was suprisingly delicious and included some tasty razor clams. A sweet cat visited our table and was inquisitive but polite.

The only reason i gave this a 1 is because zero isnt an option. We stayed in Sunny Beach and have been for many years now. We used to frequent this place whilst visiting nessebar as the service and food was very good. But not this time, when we walked in and sat down the miserable waiter just blanked us and never bothered to serve us until we eventually got his attention and even then he was hesitant. When we told him we wanted seperate bills (2 families) you would think we had just urinated over his kids on christmas day with the look he gave us. Whilst reading the menu the miserable waiter grabbed the menu out of my hand whilst reading it also the place was empty as most people had walked out because of the service by this point so i got the safe option of pizza (poor) the mother in law got potatoes (freezing cold) sister in law got what looked and tasted like dog sick (pasta) the wife got this horrible cold chicken dish (could have been anything) After our disgusting meal we came to the conclusion we were not going to tip the waiter so we gave him the exact change with quite a few stotinki's and he threw it back at the sister in law followed by some nasty sounding words. All i can say is dont go here.
