It may have been one of the cheaper hotels from our ‘holiday search’ but not by far and we believed it still to be expensive enough for what was on offer and in comparison to previous holidays.

After seeing the hotel on a couple of sights before and after our holiday I’m not convinced half of the photos taken are even of the same hotel. If they are I’d like to know where these areas were......

Not the best welcome when the main hotel sigh is only half lite on the building and stayed that way all week?! The bedroom was basic but ample size double and single bed with additional seating area by the window and door.

Constant draft from the window and door leading onto the balcony that had additional duck tape all around the main door frame. The bathroom was ok possibly the warmest room at times as the heating seemed to go off in the main bedroom during the day when temperatures outside were ‘-8’.

‘Ladies’ beware I read online that there was a hairdryer provided. Until I arrived and found they only had ONE hairdryer for the whole hotel and you had to return it after use. This being said I asked more than enough times for it during my week’s stay and never saw it once!

The breakfast was simple, basic and cold most days. Dinner did vary evening to evening but still cold and fairly basic which is why we ended up eating out a lot. There was also never any drink provided with the evening meal so you had to buy them from the bar as extra.

Although we went knowing there was a nightclub in the hotel we did not expect to be keep awake by it most nights as there was ‘little’ or ‘NO’ sound proofing it seemed?! In addition to this other guests would return to the hotel or there room along the corridors in a very loud drunken manner, shouting and banging which woke us constantly as if they were in our room!

Well. My expectations were low... Luckily. Rooms basic but adequate. A little stinky due to cigarettes. Lounge area tired. Food absolutely shocking... Barely edible. No drinks, buffet limited. Breakfast worse than dinner. Luckily eating out ridiculously cheap. Cheap though... you get what you pay for. As resort had nothing to do is get hotel with better facilities next time. A nice bar and pool perhaps. Avoid this place and pay a little more would be my advice.

We've just got back today after a week at the Moura. First time to Bulgaria.
We went because it's cheap ......! And this is one of the cheapest hotels. That being said.....we were definitely not disappointed. It is and does have all the characteristics of a hotel..... Lounge/lobby with open fire, WIFI, bar, restaurant, reception.
You won't get room service....... but then the price reflects. The food we thought on a whole was good.....with plenty of meat in the different dishes for dinner . If you like poached eggs and sausage for breakfast that's great....But did get a bit monotonous over the week for breakfast and dinner.
For the yasabetz lift/ bus it's a short walk...... However bit of a trek for the beginner /rila area.
We liked the location as it was out of all the hustle, with nice bars and gift shops around.
You won't get pampered here but it is well worth the money. And a Chinese restaurant two doors up which is very good :-)

Room Tip: Apparently...... The bigger rooms are at the bottom and get smaller the higher up you go. We were in 313 with two single beds together shower toilet ect. Quite adequate and very quiet.

The rooms were basic but clean. Staff were very pleasant. The bar was always welcoming after a day of skiing, the beer was cheap and the fire was always on! Very good value for money! Would definitely stay here again.
