It's is cheaper than DOM and at least you get what you paid for. The atmosphere is classy and you will always find someone famous. Last tuesday Karl Lagerfeld was having dinner just beside us.
The food is great. My wife had the Ossobuco and I had the filet with toucinho. Very good choices. The carpaccio with olives vinagrete was perfect too as was the Creme Brulee. Service was good and the wine selection was impressive. Not on my budget to get a very good wine, but the South African Cabernet is always a good choice for me.
Just avoid if you don't want to spend more than USD 250 for your dinner. But if you do have the money is one of the top choices in SP

Fancy and ellegant. But too many mistakes made by the service employees. Food is average but is not worth the price. The best to see is the kitchen through a buttom window at the lavatories level. There I found out that the pasta is Barila...interesting for "the best italian restaurant" in São Paulo. I believe the restaurant goes with the Paulistano Style, meaning "you must be seen spending a lot of of money". Do not recommend it.

Fasano is an excellent place to go or take guests to for a business dinner or special occasion. Everything works and you are unlikely to be disappointed. I go there fairly regularly and had dinner with two other people last night. Their Carpaccio di Manzo (Beef Carpaccio) was absolutely perfect, the Risotto Milanese was very good and the Tiramisu, wow, was the best I have ever had (I think they have changed their recipe it used to be very good, but last night it was memomorable).
Pluses: Location - In a charming hotel in an upscale area of São Paulo
The food - most dishes will please you and some will delight you
The atmosphere - Appropriate for both romantic dinners and business dinners. Enough distance between the tables and quiet enough to allow meaningful conversations, even when the restaurant is full.
Minuses: No real low points, but, if one were to be particularly picky:
-The wine list has great selections from France and Italy, but a limited selection from Chile and Argentina (let alone Brazil)... when I take foreign guests to dinner, I usually like them to sample South American wines.
-The service level seems to vary from night to night. It is never bad, though.

Went to Baretto wit my team after dinner. The place to be.

The place has a charm. Its romantic and you will meet the local who is who there. The band is great with slow music. We had a great time.

If you have the money to spend this is a good option. It is an expensive restaurant in an already expensive city. With that said, I would recommend it based on the cool vibe and wonderful food.
