We went to Casa das Rosas during weekend.

There were some other visitors - but it was not crowded. As we browsed around the house we peeked in one of the rooms and there was a group of musicians rehearsing. It was quite a nice surprise. We spent some time sitting in the sun-lit room listening to the music.

There were couple of exhibitions on display downstairs.

Another nice surprise was a cute little place behind the house in the garden. I do not know how food is in that place. We had some sparkling wine and coffee with chocolate cake and it was quite good.

It may not be worth special trip, but if you are in the area - definitely visit.

Roses? I didn't see many at all. Perhaps 5 rose bushes in total. Given the name of the house and other reviews, I expected to see a lavish show of flowers. The garden was pleasant enough, but small. I went into the house too, however all rooms were locked and I couldnt go in them. The only thing to see was the hallway and stairs (with a beautiful stained glass window).

I spent less than 10 minutes there. Unless you are passing by, I wouldn't recommend spending the time and effort to get there.

Very nice garden with outside tables, attactive for an unusual Sunday lunch.
Cesar's salad was OK, with bacon not crispy but hard as plastic. The green was good though.
Service was terrible: table not clean, ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice with ice which arrived when I had already eaten salad and without ice..
You may give a try for an informal lunch or snack, but accept to establish low expectations for service received and enjoy the garden..

It has always something cultural, incendiary, literary happening over there. Furthermore, the gardens and restaurant is worthwhile.

It is an old building in the middle of Paulista Avenue, so modern. Good place to visit, good combination modern and Classic
