“calm and cultural place”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

A good place to rest a bit from the rush of the city. A house with large rooms, very well preserved, and very very nice gardens around. I keeps a little bit of the ancient air of Sao Paulo, too.

“La Vie En Rosas”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

I'm a rose fanatics so I may be a little biased -- I think the garden is gorgeous. Surprised that many Paulistas don't know about this place. I didn't get a chance to look around inside the house (except to use the toilet), but there is a lovely cafe at the back. The cafe serves lunch from 12 noon to 3pm (I think) because when we arrived at 4pm, we were told the kitchen is closed, but other light snacks and drinks were still available. The food and drinks are pretty good although they tend to run out of stock on many items pretty often (which probably also means that what you get is fresh)! Highly recommended pit stop if you are in the Paulista Avenida area.

“a lovely glimpse into the past”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

People used to live here, and it is pretty much like it was 50 years ago. They used to grow vegetables in the yard and the grandson of the family drove a car around the house while kids rode bycicles around theis. Now you can go to listen to music or poetry

“Great & historical ..”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

Great & historical building from Barons of Coffee Era, in the heart of Paulista Avenue where gigantic sky rappers constructed with bricks, glass, steel & marble stood as showing the world the magnificence of Sao Paulo.

“Beautiful old house in the heart of Paulista Avenue”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

Ancient house from SP coffee age. In terms of architecture it is a must to see place. As a museum it is below average.
