Sao Paulo has this curiosity, that some shopping malls actually have quite good restaurants. Since I really like Ici Bistro, we decided to try Brasserie at JK Iguatemi shopping. Since it was Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was really busy and we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, but they have a small entrance bar, where you can enjoy a Kir and already study the menu. The first impression of the decoration is a bit shocking, especially if you have visited Ici Bistro, which is so french, but after the while you note many of the funny details, and in a way, it is good that they differentiate the place from Bistro. The service at the beginning was very confused, it seemed that half of the people were not sure what their role was, but after we finally got our orders made, it worked fine. The food was good, but again must say, I prefer Ici Bistro. The Moules were a bit too large for my taste, and the sauce lacked something. Foie gras was ok, but also the dish seem to lack something. To conclude, a very decent brasserie, but next time I make the effort to go to Bistro (yes, traffic wise not an optimal location).
