“Great hotel with great location”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

The focus of the choice of this hotel is the location: Buses, subway stations, shopping malls, major bookstores, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and Avenida Paulista just steps away on foot. Reception tight and confusing at times, but the rooms are generous and very comfortable, clean and roomy bathroom, certainly a great option for those going to SP for business or leisure.

No, this isn't a 5 star hotel, but it's excellent at being a 3 star hotel. I got a great pre-purchase deal on the internet, so I decided to stay here. I had done my research and knew it was in a great part of town. It is. The rate was for $80/night pre-paid. It was such a good rate that I decided to upgrade to the better room for $94/night pre-paid weekend rate. So glad i did! The room is fantastic! About 380 sq. feet, hardwood (well, hardwood laminates) with a fun, boutique modern chic decor. For once, the pictures actually look like the rooms! Got a big balcony on the room too and a whole wall all of windows. Beautiful comfortable king size bed and ample workspace. The flat screen TV is a 36" Samsung and close to the bed for viewing. Just love the decor and the room layout. This hotel truly IS boutique, with just 4 rooms per floor! Love it! Would highly recommend this place for a weekend launch pad and would definitely stay here again. MUCH nicer than the Mercure I stayed at in Sao Caetano do Sul. This kills that property.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the mid-sized room.

We arrived early and and got a room already by 10:30, although official check in starts at 2 p.m. All the staff we' ve met has been very friendly and helpful. Fresh orange juice and water were offered for free in the foyer. The hotel is an efficient business hotel, offering the regular services in a solid quality. Rooms are comfortable, clean and have great beds and very good showers. Pool looks nice on pics, but is very small! Okay for bathing and relaxing, not for swimming. Good location, safe and in walking distance to Av. Paulista (5 min.). I would stay here again.

No big surprises here, the hotel provides standard Mercure level facilities and delivers what is expected from this chain. The room was bright and clean and the breakfast buffet provided plenty of choice and represented fair value for money.
The location was very handy and there's easy access to nearby restaurants.
Tiny pool, have seen bigger baths!
This isn't 5 star but it doesn't purport to be and it's a perfectly acceptable hotel for a few nights.

I stayed at the Mercure Jardins along with my wife in August 2012. The Hotel is very well located and is just few minutes walking from the Avenida Paulista and Oscar Freire Street, two of the capital's important references. Moreover, there are many quality restaurants around, besides pharmacies and all type of trade. As we were on a high floor, we had no problem with street noises. The Hotel had a small heated pool and a dry sauna of good quality. The room has a good size and bed is quite confortable, with flat screen tv, minibar with realli cold beers and a large and clean bathroom, with an excellent shower. Finally, all staff is very friendly and efficient and the room rate charged is quite fair. what made me choose this Hotel with a great cost benefit. I certainly would return to Mercure Jardim Hotel.

This hotel was booked for a shot business stay by my hosts here. It was surprising to note that a Mercure hotel of the Accor group had to cut-down some of the basic amenities due to a "privileged room" status. No breakfast in included, no coffee maker, no good toiletries, no sound proof rooms, etc. the pros being a clean and tidy bed, minimum survival amenities, good service by staff, dollar acceptable, easy location and an hour's drive fom the GRU airport. A price tag of 365 BRL per night is completely off the mark for the "value for money"! Rooms are not sound proofed and u could hear the other person in ur nearby rooms talking or sneezing, etc, not-to-mention if the noise of the traffic 10floors own below. An okay hotel if for a safe short business stay, though if u have better choices, then u could check elsewhere. There is a currency exchange in the nearby Rennaissance Hotel which can convert Chinese yuan to brazil reals!

Room Tip: Check if they have rooms that can prevent external noises heard into your room...quite disturbing...

Stayed here for 2 nights and recommend the hotel. Rooms are spacious, staff are educated and trained. There is a welcoming tropical juice in the lobby. Bathrooms are clean (showers are great). However they do not offer complimentary breakfast (tip: right across the corner, in Augusta street, there is a brand new Starbucks that offers reasonable Brazilian breakfast) and restaurant at main floor is a bit pricey. Worth the stay.
