This hotel has an awesome location with lots of restaurants, shops, and a large park with kids' playground nearby! There is cheap Yakisoba sold by street vendors in the park.

I was even able to get a haircut and shave right opposite the hotel. There is a delicious free breakfast included and good free wifi too! Easy to get to from the Airport with Uber.

We are a family of five and the staff was very attentive to our kids' needs!

The hotel suited us fine as we were only there for one night and it was very close to the bus stop (the shuttle to the airport). The rooms were adequate, as was the breakfast - don't expect anything great!

This is a nice hotel located in what was once a very dodgy and dangerous part of the city but nowadays after a lot of work by the police it is relatively safer but don't let your guard down especially at night as dodgy characters are close by especially lots and lots of homeless people. Located about a block from the hotel is Republic park which is not to be walked through in the dark but by all means view from across the street in a bar or something as it is entertaining with ladyboy hookers and all sorts of sordid deals going down.
The room in the hotel was standard nothing too fancy but cozy in its own way also. A creepy thing I noticed was the presence of a telephone in the hallway outside our room which would start ringing every now and then and never get answered lol.

There's nothing special about a stay here but it's good enough for a short stay in SP.

The location is very convenient, right near Praca Republica and the Republica metro station. It's a short walk through the square to the pedestrian shopping precinct and the old town. But as noted by others it is not recommended to walk around the area after dark, particularly in and around the square. Whether or not this is a deal breaker will vary person to person.

Our double room was fairly basic, older style but clean and comfortable enough. The air con was not particularly effective and the TV offered a very limited range of stations and no English language ones. The bathroom was small but good enough. The key to the very old fashioned safe had to be signed for at reception. It took us a while to realise this and it would have been much better had this been pointed out when we checked-in.

Breakfast is the standard South American continental with the added bonus of scrambled egg, a sausage mix and tropical fruits (banana, papaya, melon and pineapple). A better selection that we encountered in some Hotels with a better rating than this one.

The Hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren - we actually needed assistance from a staff member to find our room the first time. Not a problem once we got our bearings. The coffee offered in reception to all guests in the afternoon is a nice touch.

The location is very central, near to Praca da Republica. This is something of a two-edged sword; it is close to lots of bars, restaurants, and important sights, but also near many sex shops, porn theatres, etc. Not an area to bring young children.

The hotel itself is OK. Not luxurious by any means, but adequate for a couple of nights. The bed was comfortable, the linen was clean, the shower had plenty of hot water and the breakfast was more than enough. It could benefit from a larger elevator but that is a minor point. If I was ever coming to Sao Paulo again, which is highly unlikely, I would stay at this hotel again. Mainly because I have solved the maze of surrounding streets after getting lost half a dozen times.

This hotel was one of over 20 places that we stayed in during a 7-week, South American holiday. Each was booked and paid for by the tour company that we were travelling with. Therefore, I am unable to say anything about the prices of whether the hotels were good value for money. The reader will have to rely on other travellers for that information.
