I went to Sancho Bar y Tapas with some friends on a Friday night. The place is small, so get there early or make a reservation. Tables are very close to one another. Sometimes there’s not enough room to seat comfortably. The service was very slow. We even got one complimentary tapa because of the wait. We didn’t like their potato tortilla. I liked their "jamón" (Spanish ham), but all the tapas that I tried (I tried 4) tasted the same. The only one that had a bit more flavor to it was the one with blue (Gorgonzola).
The good thing about the place is the live music (very good guitar and cello players) and the location, at Augusta Street, close the Paulista Avenue and the subway.
I’m planning to go back to try other items on the menu. See if my opinion of the bar improves. Right now I consider it just an OK place.
