Anyone who is visiting the city and loves art should pay a visit to this beautifully designed building in the heart of old São Paulo, especially if the city's symphony orquestra or the lyric choir is to perform. During daytime, the theater is easily accessible by subway (Anhangabaú Station). At night, however, it is advisable to go by car, for the surroundings are not so much friendly. The admission fee varies according to the location of the seats and the cheapest are the ones called "anfiteatro" (amphitheater). Needless to say, the view is not that good, but it's still worth it.
