Owner description: The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

Parque Ibirapuera is a great park to spend time with family and friends. You can walk , run, play sports or just relax in the midle of the trees.

“Green Spot”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

A relaxing green park for a break in this busy city. Bikes for rent, courts and shadows for relaxing.

“Good tour to one green area very in downtown”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

It is a good place to relax close to downtown. Don't expect to see the brazilian forest or somehting like that (it might be good or not), it is a very "modern" park, alot of sports and good people, the best for sport.

“The spitting image of the town”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Here you will find the best synthesis of the 'paulistanos': from the modest people that come by bus from far districts to the rich ones living whithin walking distance. MAM and MAC, located in the park, are two important art museums of the city. If possible, watch a concert in Auditório do Ibirapuera, a wonderful building designed by Oscar Niemeyer. But the main attraction is just walking around and relaxing under the shades of the trees while drinking coconut water.

“Very beautiful!”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

It's a wonderful place! You can walk around the lake with lots of ducks and other birds! Awesome plca to be with kids, you can see them having fun in the playground! You can ride a bike, or simply run for fun! It's your choice! The park has a planetarium but you have to buy tickets in advance, that's the only thing that makes me sad! But you won't regret if you pick up this place to visit. It's a green heart in the middle of a big city - Sao Paulo!
