Owner description: The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

Living in an urban jungle that is Sao Paulo, Ibirapuera was my oasis and a regular weekend escape. The park is a great place for people watching and really is a social space, rather than a conventional park. It is also a home to some great museums, such as Museo De Afro-Brasil and MAM. I recommend to come here to enjoy the sunset from the bridge.

I spent 14 days in Sao Paulo and I went jogging there every single day. The park around one mile away from the Jardim's hotels and offer an unlimited array of trails and circuits for runners, bikers, rollerblading and skate boarders.
It is also home of a couple of good museums.

Lovely Park. Very big, full of green and activities, such as museums or open air concerts. People from all ages and socioeconomic level shared activities such as rollerskating, jogging, playing with child games in the different squares. I believe gate 3 or 4 is where the games are. Also you can see ducks and other birds in the small lake. Nice green lung in a crowded city.

Sunday afternoon is prime time in the park! Spectacular people watching, amazing skateboarding, volleyball, and hoops. But the thing that was really fun was 'slack lining'. A very casual scene with lots of friendly locals who are happy to let you try and showcase their skills.

The park had a "Central Park" feel with a Brazilian flavor, coconuts for sale, and everyone doing something to be fit. Go for a stroll, rent bikes, rollerblade or skate, but go- after a lap and chatting with some locals you will feel like part of the city.

Very popular with the locals. Running, cycling, lazing around, museums, monuments, cafes etc. Ab oasis in the centre of this bustling metropolis
