Owner description: The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

“A great place for a walk.”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

Great place to go for a walk, bike riding or jogging if that is your thing. There is a pace that serves food, coffee etc. Try an Acai if it's a hot day. Very nice and refreshing.

“Nice bit if tranquility in a busy city”
Reviewed January 21, 2013 via mobile

Went here on a sunday morning and whilst it was quieter than the city, it was still pretty busy with joggers, skate boarders, cyclists, skaters, etc. it is quite a sight to be honest!

Try and get off the main paths if you can, there's lot of hidden trails and pathways with virtually no-one on them...much more relaxing!

The lake by Gate 10 has a fountain display that's worth seeing. I'm not sure of the timing but it started at 12:10 on my visit.

It takes about an hour to do a circuit of the park, longer if you go off the beaten path but for a bit of time out from the city, its well worth it.

“Sport and natural scenery in the middle of the city”
Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

Great place to get closer and see the sport culture in Brazil. Excellent to walk with your dog, run, or do any kind of excercise. Thousands of Paulistas join every weekend to spend couple of hours doing their favorite sport or just walk around with the great natural scenery in the middle of the city.

Great place to spend the day. The place is very clean and safe, its a huge park in the middle of Sao Paulo. There is a big lake but you cannot fish on there.
