Sao Paulo is HUGE and densely populated city with little or no real pattern or planning separatiing commercial industial and residential areas. The streets and drivers are challenging. This was quite an eye opener for us Californians from Orange County! We came for a wedding and, thankfully, had our daughter-in-law as our guide. She and my son selected the hotel. They had spent time there previously. If we had to return to Sao Paulo, we would be happy to return to this hotel.

Room Tip: WE like to sleep with the room cold, but it took a while to figure out where to et the thermostat and sometimes I don't think it worked 100%. There was one time when the internet was down. Still, the staff was very helpful and solved problems quickly.

Dear David,

Thank you for staying at the TRYP Tatuapé and sending your comments about the hotel and the city in our TripAdvisor’s page!

The city of São Paulo really developed in an unplanned way, but it is a cosmopolitan city that has received people from all over the world, becoming a great reference of different cultures.

The hotels TRYP by Wyndham are connected to the cities and we are proud to also belong to São Paulo.

We look forward to welcome you back at the TRYP Tatuapé soon!

Chose this hotel due to location.
Service was abysmal.
Breakfast was average at best.
Unfortunately no other options in this area... Lack of competition has created a hotel that is complacent and lacks any king of customer service.
As an international guest i experienced major problems checkin in and checkout out. staff barely spoke english

Stayed one night late November 2016. Pros: Clean room with marvels, etc. Excellent Brazilian style breakfast buffet with lots of yummy fresh fruits in nice setting.

Hotel building appearance-wise seems out of place when looked at its location and neighborhood - not a tourist hotel. I feel cheated because I paid $90 per night but right now it's advertised as $60 per night in tripadvisor. But, my reason for 2 stars are: 1. Mini-refrigerator in room (filled with canned drinks for a charge) does not work. It's for the show. We needed to keep medication chilled so had to call reception and they promptly brought small bucket of ice to room. Ice was all but melt in few hours. 2. They had small mound of snacks in table for a charge. I thought it was rather tacky. 3. Air conditioner dial fooled me such that 21 degree C does nothing. Only when I set to the lowest setting that it kicked in, and even that after couple of hours. Bad. 4. Wifi is spotty.

Room Tip: Taxi from South side of Tatuape metro station is ~14 real (less than USD$5, Nov. 2016 incl. tip).

I went to Tryp Tatuape to be near Arena Corinthians when I went there for Olympic Games. It is located near Tatuape subway station (10min walking from distance). From this station to Arena is 3 stops only.
The hotel has a very good breakfast (included in room rates) and an excellent room with quiet floor. Parking fee is BRL 25/day.

Room Tip: room with wooden floor are newly

I stayed here in January of 2016 & loved it! The neighborhood is "mixed" in that there are many big & small apartments/homes and lots of little shops. Walking around was easy, and the people were very friendly! It's not too far from a popular mall, and the many shops & parks along the way make it fun to walk. I can't wait to return!

Room Tip: I had a "Deluxe" or "Premium" room and it was very nice.

Dear Mr. George,

First of all we would like to thank you for choose Meliá Hotels International, especially TRYP Tatuapé as your hotel in São Paulo.

The hotel really is located in a place that keeps residential and comercial characteristics, and this is our differential between business hotels in urban centers. The location is always very important for TRYP hotels by Wyndham.

We are very happy to receive your kind comments about TRYP Tatuapé in our TripAdvisor’s page! We are sure that your comments will help a lot or our other guests before their trip!
