Chose this hotel due to location.
Service was abysmal.
Breakfast was average at best.
Unfortunately no other options in this area... Lack of competition has created a hotel that is complacent and lacks any king of customer service.
As an international guest i experienced major problems checkin in and checkout out. staff barely spoke english

Stayed one night late November 2016. Pros: Clean room with marvels, etc. Excellent Brazilian style breakfast buffet with lots of yummy fresh fruits in nice setting.

Hotel building appearance-wise seems out of place when looked at its location and neighborhood - not a tourist hotel. I feel cheated because I paid $90 per night but right now it's advertised as $60 per night in tripadvisor. But, my reason for 2 stars are: 1. Mini-refrigerator in room (filled with canned drinks for a charge) does not work. It's for the show. We needed to keep medication chilled so had to call reception and they promptly brought small bucket of ice to room. Ice was all but melt in few hours. 2. They had small mound of snacks in table for a charge. I thought it was rather tacky. 3. Air conditioner dial fooled me such that 21 degree C does nothing. Only when I set to the lowest setting that it kicked in, and even that after couple of hours. Bad. 4. Wifi is spotty.

Room Tip: Taxi from South side of Tatuape metro station is ~14 real (less than USD$5, Nov. 2016 incl. tip).

I went to Tryp Tatuape to be near Arena Corinthians when I went there for Olympic Games. It is located near Tatuape subway station (10min walking from distance). From this station to Arena is 3 stops only.
The hotel has a very good breakfast (included in room rates) and an excellent room with quiet floor. Parking fee is BRL 25/day.

Room Tip: room with wooden floor are newly

I stayed here in January of 2016 & loved it! The neighborhood is "mixed" in that there are many big & small apartments/homes and lots of little shops. Walking around was easy, and the people were very friendly! It's not too far from a popular mall, and the many shops & parks along the way make it fun to walk. I can't wait to return!

Room Tip: I had a "Deluxe" or "Premium" room and it was very nice.

I have stayed at this hotel for many years and unfortunately it's not the same as it used to be. For a business hotel the wifi is horrible, slow and constantly cutting off. In this part of São Paulo there are not very many choices so I guess there is not as much need to do as much customer service.
