“Not what I'm used to from Radisson but good value”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

São Paulo is expensive... Someone told me that its the third most expensive city in the world and having been there, it's definitely true.

This hotel is in a very busy location so prepare yourself for the noise of traffic and aeroplanes. There is one restaurant which buffet breakfast and lunch and menu for dinner. Strangely, the room service menu is better and bigger than the menu in the restaurant, but the staff are helpful and happy to get you something from either menu.

It has a swimming lane on the room... Great if you're the only one using it. Not ideal if someone else comes along. The gym has enough equipment for a decent workout. The only thing I would say is that there is only one bottle of water a day put in the room, anything else you pay for.

This is an ok hotel but probably not up to the usual Radisson standard. The older rooms are poorly laid out and you have to climb over the toilet to get in the shower.

Room Tip: When you book, ask for a refurbished room.

Stayed there on business. The workout room was just ok. The hotel lobby is relatively small, but the employees were very nice. They worked at a slow pace, but I got the feeling it was something where I needed to slow down to the pace of the locals. The room wasn't very good. It was dated and a bit on the older side. It was clean. The immediate neighborhood was good to walk around in, however we didn't venture far from the hotel.

Very good hotel. It is not very close to the san paolo downtown but it was excellent for my business purpouse as location. The hotel is under renovation but despite that is offering excellent rooms, with new furnitures and very confortable bed.the breakfast is astonishing as quality and variety of food. I didn't try the restaurant. Teh serice was execellent. In additon to all that prices were extremely good for he level offered. It is a tipycal business trip hotel. For sure I will be back there.

Stayed for a week during March. Hotel is in a great location and many restaurants are close. The hotel lobby continues to have major renovations, but to be fair, on the 7th floor noise was not a problem. The staff are professional and very helpful. The breakfast (included) was good and typical of the larger hotel chains in Brazil and Argentina; I did have dinner one night in the hotel restaurant and it was ok, but with really good alternative restaurants close by I would not recommend eating at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable; the bathroom was very small and needs to be renovated.
Overall, for the price the hotel was average and fair value.

Two years ago I stayed for a 2-month period in this hotel, and coming back to it now for a few days I have seen many changes - though not all for the best.
- The rooms have been refurnished and they are spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. They provide courtesy fruit and water which is also a nice touch. The bathroom in my room is a bit too small but not majorly uncomfortable
- The lobby is under reconstruction and it is very loud in the first floor. They seemed a bit short staffed in the reception area and their English is quite limited.
- The gym is quite nice and has a great view of the city, and there is also a pool if you are into swimming, which I believe is uncommon in city hotels in the region
- Shortly after I went to bed the telephones in my room started ringing randomly, and an annoying noise followed by the hotel telephone waiting music followed. I called the reception and they said they had not transferred any calls into my room and would get the phones checked the next morning. Needless to say it was annoying to say the least
- Breakfast was ok, but poor compared to what it used to be 2 years ago
- The nightly rate I got was VERY high for the features the hotel has to offer
- I have stayed quite a few times in the Radisson Curitiba, and liked the hotel, service and amenities better. Not to mention the price.
- The hotel is 100% non-smoking now, which is great for non-smokers like me but might annoy smokers a bit.

Room Tip: Although staff says the noise from the lobby reconstruction cannot be heard from any of the floors...

This hotel's lobby is under construction (Feb 2013) and many things are affected - such as the restaurant and there is work noise from 9-17.

The rooms are big and fine.

The staff in reception hardly speak a word of English so bring a translator!

The area is apparently 'safe' but don't bring any valuables with you to Sao Paolo as mugging are common.

This hotel is perfectly located in Sao Paulo close to the downtown airport, good restaurants and higways. It is under renovation bit it is still good. They upgrated the rooms but not the bathrooms. I wish they would have added them to the upgrade. Nice breakfast buffet included but do not bring guess since it costs $22 per person and at that price it is not worth.
