This hotel is very well located. The rooms are large, clean and have a small kitchen with fridge. The bed is really good. The rest of the fittings and fixtures are old and dated especially the bathroom which could really use a refurbishment. For Sao Paulo the hotel is also good value for money.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a high floor and a room not facing the avenue. Otherwise make sure you have go...

While not a classic style business hotel, the Quality Suites offers suburb amenities and comfort for the price. Great location in the garden area of SP near high end shopping, if that is your thing, and lots of restaurants. The suite was not large but it offered everything you need for comfort. Most importantly, the room was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and bathroom amenities were well stocked. My only complaints here are that the TV while large and flat-screened was located in the small "living room" area and was not visible from the bed, there were only two channels in English (CNN & Bloomberg) and the internet connection became very slow during peak hours but worked fine otherwise. Also, the work-out area is an afterthought but is complimented by a nice pool and sauna. The front desk and staff were flawless. They were very courteous and professional. I would stay here again on business.

It stays only a few steps from Oscar Freire Street and if you want to wander through the luxury shops of the neighborhood it is a perfect hotel.
The room isn`t big but has a huge and comfortable bed, with four excellent pillows. In the bathroom, there is a good hairdryer, but cheap shampoo, conditioner and soap and no shower cap. The low quality of the towels is also remarkable. The breakfast is bad. The cutlery is horrible. The coffee spoon was made of a so thin material that I was surprised it didn`t break in my hand. The forks were fish fork. The food is placed without any kind of cover or protection. Very anti hygienic.
We could hear everything that was going on in the corridor and in the bathroom upper floor what was very unpleasant.
I thing the hotel needs a complete renovation including its administration.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the highest floor. Maybe they are quieter.

The location and room are good, but I had the worst experience at a hotel, it was almost funny.
The promised early check up was not available; when we return an hour and two hours and more later, the room was till not ready. Finally, we were given a room but when we opened the door, it was a mess with someone else's luggage there. At our next room, we discovered the safe did not work (and this is Sao Paulo where safes are a necessity); the internet took multiple visits of hotel staff and hours of frustration to work; light bulbs were missing. The worst thing was that their phones were not working for the entire day which made for enormous problems with my Brazilian hosts who were trying to contact me. The following day, we returned after a long and interesting walk only to discover that there was no hot water and none would be available for the near future.
The staff was nice, I must say, except for the management who were I complained only suggested I look at their company website; no compensation was offered.
Stay away!

Room Tip: Avoid the hotel entirely!

This hotel, in spite of being very well locates, and, for thar only reason, most wanted, is in a descendent movement. The water drops fall all the time by the taps, an agression to the environement. Towels are verry, very, old - so thin that we can see through them. The rom service always forget to leave the bottle of water and the chocolat they promised at the front desk. No wi-fi, just cable internet (so old fashin)... What a pit...

Just a few feet from Sao Paulo's Rodeo Drive/5th Ave is this budget hotel. I paid around US$ 108 for a room, with free internet and breakfast. The location is pretty quiet, for Brasil standards. Many taxis available with lots of one-way streets. With congestion, it can cost much to travel a few blocks. You're better off to walk to one of the main streets, like Rua Reboucas. The nearest Metro is Concolacao, which is a hefty 20 min hike, mostly uphill.

The room, surprisingly. . . . quite nice. A sort of semi-suite with a separate seating and sleeping area, with a small kitchen off the main room. Main room nicely appointed. Good bed, lighting, etc. The kitchen had a 2 burner range and mini frig. No utensils. The bathroom, needs attention. Old, miss-fitting wall and ceiling panels. Shower/bath had old and mildewed caulk.

Breakfast. . . . so, so, by Brasilian standards. Never was offered coffee. 15 minutes before the closing, staff started removing items.

One important note. The outlets are mostly 110. However, they are non polarized, or grounded. So most US plugs will not work. There is only one polarized and grounded outlet by the desk. Wi-Fi was almost useless. Better to plug into ethernet by the desk. Then you had acceptable reception.

Given the neighborhood/price/problems/advantages. . . . . . it's a curious property.

If you are in Sao Paulo for business this is definitely not a hotel for you. Internet sucks and rooms are noise. Tiny old TV, cheap linen and dated bathroom. Central air-conditioner impregnates the rooms with a funny smell. Breakfast is not the best you can get for the price you're paying. Rooms are spacious, bathtube walls are dirty, small kitchen.
The area is nice and fairly safe. Lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, bakeries within a walk distance.
Too expensive for what you get.
