I am a hilton Gold member. Had a great stay at this hotel between Christmas and New Years. The staff is outstanding. They are very customer service oriented. The executive lounge is very large, it has two computers for free use, they always have cold drinks available. Breakfast is served here and drinks in the evening. We ate dinner at the Canvas lounge two nights. The club sandwich and Caesar salad were both very good and not over-priced considering how expensive food was at the D&D furniture mall next door. There are two shopping malls within walking distance as well as a commuter train that connects to the subway. One ticket (3 reals) allows you to connect for free from the train to subway. Don't be intimidated by the public transit. It is clean and safe. The area around the hotel is very business oriented, so it is also clean and safe but very quiet after 5pm and on weekends. If you want to be able to stoll around cafes and bars in the evening, you will have limited options here. As a hilton gold, I did not receive an upgrade on this stay to an executive room, but the room we got was beautiful. I can only imagine what the executive rooms are like. Excellent!

Dear DC_Gale,

Thank you very much for your review about us!
As a Gold member of the HHonors program your opinion is very important to measure the quality of our services.
I also would like to apologize about the upgrade. We always prioritize our loyal guests but it is still under occupancy availability. The Hilton Morumbi is located in a business area but around us you can find some good neighborhoods with a lively nightlife!
For cafe and food, we offer room dinning! The menu is varied (pizza, pasta and grilled) and works 24/7!

See you next time in Hilton São Paulo Morumbi!

Best Regards,

A bit far from city center but overall well connected, this hotel was great for business purposes. It's in a business area with services around. The executive rooms come with all comforts (even a printer) and the executive lounge has good food and views!

Dear Maott,

It is so nice to read a post like yours. I am glad that you enjoyed your time and stay with us!

In fact the Hotel is located very close to the Berrini Ave. which is one of the biggest business area in São Paulo. However the Berrini station is about 10 minutes walking from the hotel and this train connects with the subway system. This is the easiest way to avoid the traffic and go to the city center.
Did you have the opportunity to have a drink at the Executive Lounge Happy Hour? This private floor offers to our guests everyday a Happy Hour with several kinds of drinks and appetizers.

I really appreciate your note about our hotel! I hope to host you once again. Happy 2013!

Fantastic installations friendly staff and good breakfast, There is a large shopping mall under the hotel that can also be quite conveninent.
The concierge team of the hotel were very friendly and knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile. During our stay, It was my wife's birthday and they helped me sort out a nice surprise for her and helped with the secret warpping and even organised a complimentary cake with her birthday breakfast and a card signed by all the staff. This last touch was particularly well received by her and it costs the hotel nothing. Not many hotel tams would have thought of doing this for us.

Hotel is clean, well located and have an aspect of new.
Follow international Hilton standards and everything works perfect. Only two things annoying are the elevator with the validation system using the room keycard (that need several tries to work) and the fact of internet not being included in the rate (at least, my rate) - which is a very tiny thing that the hotel should simply add to whatever rate.... anyway, overall still a very good choice.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with river and bridge view - nice to see the millions of buildings of Sao Paulo.

Dear Marcelo_Fernanda,

Thanks you very much for your time and words about our hotel!

Regarding your comment about the key card for the elevators - thank you for your observation! This is a security procedure that we must follow, all the lifts are constantly under maintenance and the Engineering department is working in order to improve the system.

We do offer different rates according with the hotel availability. In relation with the internet, we charge it at your room but we also provide complimentary access at the main lobby, restaurants and Executive Floor.

Thanks again for your classification as a “great option”!

We look forward to welcome you soon back again to the Hilton São Paulo Morumbi.

Sincerely,

A short stay (arrived 9pm and left 1pm the following day). About an hour from GRU airport outside of peak hours. Modern, efficient and comfortable. I had an executive room that was spacious with excellent bathroom facilities and a properly equipped work area including printer (and paper!). The bed was comfortable and there were facilities for coffee making (only instant though) and a few free 'chocolates of the day' were a nice touch.
Breakfast in the executive lounge was fine, arrived too late for evening drinks etc but was found a diet coke with no fuss.
The gym and pool were well equipped and very quiet - even at 8.30 am on a weekday.
Lunch in the Canvas restaurant was very good and served promptly as promised.
No real idea about the area but walking (as suggested by management responses below) would be confusing given the roads and traffic, hot and not aided by the aroma of sewer from the river (not present in the hotel).
Not cheap but on a par with other large business hotels in major cities.

Room Tip: Higher the better.

We stayed from Saturday to Tuesday. The hotel is located in a business area and there is nothing in the local area to interest the tourist. There is a large shopping mall about twenty minutes walk away though the hotel advertises that it sits on the top of a mall. It does, but it is closed at the weekend and functions as a service to the local business community during the week. The food court hums at lunchtime but many of the food outlets are closed in the evening and the others lack much business. The two or three proper restaurants, the places with tablecloths and waiters, were almost deserted for dinner. More than three quarters of the shops in the mall are related to home furnishing,
The hotel has an attractive modern lobby and the guest floors are serviced by six lifts.
Each lift seemed to have a mind of its own. It was not unusual to meet people in the lift who thought they were going down while we were going up. One way to meet new friends.
Our executive room on the twenty third floor was large and well designed with a huge window that looked out to nowhere in particular. The desk was ample and well lit and there was plenty of storage space. There was a walk in shower as well as a separate bath. The room was the best feature of the hotel.
The executive club on the twenty sixth floor provides a good breakfast, coffee and biscuits during the day and a cocktail hour in the evening. There are plenty of tables and chairs but comfortable sofas and armchairs are scarce and the club ambiance is cheerless.
The gym on the top floor is as large as any I have seen in other hotels and bristles with up to date equipment. The adjacent pool was laid out with lanes and I guess the complex is popular with the local community with hotel guests in a small minority.
The drive back to the international airport on a weekday around lunchtime took one hour.

Dear GBSLondon,

I appreciate and your time and comment about our hotel!

You are right; the mall that is at the same complex at the hotel is only about Design & Decoration. But - the Morumbi neighborhood has a big mall with several stores and it is just 20 minutes walking from Hilton.

We are really sorry about the inconvenience with the elevators. I will forward your suggestion to the Engineering Manager.

Thanks a lot for your compliment about our accommodations! They were designed to attend business and leisure guests because also have connecting rooms to accommodate big families.

If you want to describe even more your experience, please feel free to send me an e-mail: giovana.dornelles@hilton.com.
