Good hotel for business. Room fine with good amenities. Nice and big, massive bed. Only downside was the room faced the main road, so traffic all night which kept me awake. However it is very close to the centre so will stay again accompanied by ear plugs.

I enjoyed the city tour and the service from the guide (called Denis G), An excellent program by visiting theatre, monument, Kathedral, Old town, Asian town, also special visit to famous food market.
If you like art, ask him to bring you to place called Villa of Magdalena, beautiful graphic and excellent painting. A lot of innovation program to choose..

Sao Paulo is huge, expensive and difficult to navigate. This hotel is well located, rooms are large, clean, functional, comfortable. You get a mini apartment with a kitchenette, lounge and bedroom, so if like me you are having to work, it is ideal.

Facilities outside the room are a bit limited. There is a gym, and tiny pool, but they are a bit miserable. And the restaurant is ok for breakfast, but I wouldn't want to eat in every night. But then you don't because it is Sao Paulo.

Staff are freindly and speak good English - and it is well priced.

I stayed at the George V for 6 nights while in town on business. I was very pleased with the room - a large, apartment-like style with a kitchen and sitting room as well as the bedroom, walk-through closet and bath. Security was very good - each floor had to have an access card to allow you to get to the floor.

The service was impeccable. Since my Portuguese is nil, I relied on the front desk staff for help with taxis, directions, etc. As for breakfast, I'm not sure what the other reviewer was looking for. This is a very typical Brazilian breakfast buffet. Fruits galore, yogurt, pastries, eggs - something new every day.

I would definitely stay here again when I return to Sao Paulo.

There were only 2 hotels in the area not sold out at the time of my booking and this was one of them. Now I know why.

1. The location is horrible and only 1 out of 7 taxis knew how to get here so be sure to bring a map of the surrounding area for your driver.

2. I had to call the front desk regarding trouble connecting to the Internet service 5 times during just a 2 night stay. Tech support would call back a short while later where they would say they changed some settings, but even then the connectivity was very poor.

3. There are no vending machines and no store to grab a drink or a snack, so you are forced to either venture out (nothing really close by) or eat/drink what is already in your room.

4. For a 5-star hotel, the breakfast buffet is not anywhere up to standards. Basically just scrambled eggs, fruit and pastries. I would have expected at least waffles, pancakes or maybe an omelet station.

The room itself was very nice although the mattress was extremely firm. No complaints there. It would have been nice if there was some sort of business center. Just a small pool and fitness center in small rooms, a small lobby and the restaurant. It seemed like a safe area though.
