“Good value, but...”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

I have stayed here a few times, mostly for the good prices in a very expensive market. It is a good value. The people are very nice, the place is clean, and the breakfast is good. However, it is very dated and lacking in style, luxury, or many of the niceties we come to expect in hotels. The gym is terribly out of date. The food at night is plain and limited. The linens, TV channels, and Internet are not great. So, you have to balance out these things with the good price!

A bit tatty and in need of refurbishment.

Ok sized rooms, bed quite comfortable and internet access that worked. Decent gym and rooftop pool. Breakfast was good. Check-in and out was slow.......

I would stay again if Ii had business in the area but not otherwise.

At first glance, Tryp looked modern, hip and with an inviting lobby. But the next thing I noticed walking down the hall from the elevator to my room was that all the wallpaper was peeling up from the vertical seams and the carpet looked dingy.

The rooms were quiet from outside noise, but the interior walls aren’t the thickest and adjacent doors closing are rather loud. I heard someone talking next door, a cellphone ring in another and the light rumble of another room’s tv. It wasn’t a problem for me personally and no hotel is free of extra noise, but it was more notable to me here than other hotels.

I was surprised how small the room was for $170. It was perfectly adequate, but could quickly get crowded with two people.

Bathroom was also very small but has the prestige of being the first hotel bathroom I’ve ever been in to have a scale in it. Shower had very good water pressure.

Breakfast was very good. Check in and out has a short line but still takes 5-15 minutes.

The location was good for my one night, but I’ll try another place next time in the area. There are several hotels to choose from in this price range.

Room Tip: Distance from Guarulhos airport is about 45 min with good traffic, mid-day. Rush hour - plan for 2-3...

The hotel is really nice, but its really old. The rooms have a proper size and theservice is good and fast the only exceptuon is the check in and check out, it takes hours!!the breakfast is really good!! You get quick access too tqxis also. The surroundings doesnt look sonice but in five minute you are alreqdy out of there. If yiu get tired of the restaurant there, theres a small italian restaurant next to the hotel I recommend it as well.
Important! If you are looking forwards to finding the pool... Forget it! Its out of service since march andvthey arenot planning to do anything about it! At least in the reception they told me they dont have a date to have the pool ok again :(
Dont get too excited about the gym either its small and old and doesnt smell very nice haha

A good hotel for a business tryp. Front desk was great, and general services and cleaning was fantastic. Nice lobby, natural light on most of the places, nice breakfast (could be better), and quick elevators (yes, I know, but I don't like to waste my time waiting to get into my room!). Wifi is free and available on each floor, and wired in the room. Bathroom was a little bit small, but complete. Room was quite, clean, and with a comfortable bed. Had also a desk were to work.
Price was reasonable.

I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference. I would recommend it for business trips. The WiFi works great in the rooms and lobby (and it's free). The rooms are adequate, but, not luxurious (carpet and furnishings are bit on the older side). The only true complaint I have is the walls are thin. I could hear the people in the room next door to me. Luckily, they had children and went to bed early!
