chose this hotel because it was very close to my destination (it was a business trip) and the trafic in SP is a hell. Great regret. My nights were terrible. The bed seems like 30 years old, very unconfortable, toooooooo softy. same about the pillows. the TV is just ridiculous for a hotel in this price range (it's like a 16" old model tv). the furnitire in general is old. Average breakfast and staff.

I used to stay once a month in the Mercure Central Towers in the last two years. The overpriced hotel has worsened, month by month, the maintance of the facilities. The air conditions are not properly working, the kittens are not longer fully equipped, the steam room stopped working and the breakfast is just ok... Do no even think about order some food from the restaurant: it tends to be over salted and, sometimes, cool... Besides it can take decades to be delivered to your room...
What is good about this hotel? The location, if you have appointments close to Sao Paulo downtown. But you can choose better hotels, with best rates.

Room Tip: Ask for non smoking room prior arrive. There are few available.

Although the hotel is located in a safe area, location is not the most picturesque of São Paulo (lots of old buildings surrounding the hotel). Subway station (São Joaquim station) close to the hotel.
Check-in was fast. Nicely decorated and clean room, adequate in size. The room has a small fridge, microwave, electronic safe and also a working desk. TV set is small and old (not flat screen), with the usual cable TV channels. Shower was pleasant, good water pressure. Mattress is very confortable. No problems with noise from the streets at all.
I would stay here again if I could get a reduced weekend rate (which was the case during this visit). I don't think that the regular rate is worth it (expensive for what you get, in my opinion).

This hotel is only when there are no other rooms available in Sao Paulo. Location isn't safe. Noisy since it is right by highway. Plus is really attentive and professional staff. Lobby updated...rooms are old.

Hotel looks great in the pictures and generally looked the same in person.

Room was clean, quiet and easy to get to.

Restaurant was pricey ($40 for chicken), though very good.

Staff was quite helpful. Taxi stand out front.

Room Tip: Ask for a larger room at the same price.
