I just completed my 91st trip to Brazil over the years. Brazilian cuisine is generally not my favorite food. However, this restaurant has something to please anyone who chooses to dine here. My trips to Brazil keep me there around three weeks each time I visit. I always make a point to have lunch in this restaurant several times each week while in Sao Paulo. I have never been disappointed at dining here.
In addition to the typical Brazilian foods found in a "por kilo" restaurant, this place has an area where fresh meats are cooked in front of you. If you like salmon and halibut you will have it abundantly available at a moments notice. The high quality of the fish is unlike I have seen anywhere else in Sao Paulo. You can also order special food items that are not in the "por kilo" trays or where meats and other hot dishes are prepared for you.
The service is superb, the restaurant is clean and enormous.
The only negative thing I have to say (which is not negative against the restaurant) is that the restaurant is open only Monday through Friday and open only from 11:00 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon. These odd hours are mainly to attract the business trade that often fills the restaurant to capacity. The fact that the restaurant draws huge crowds for lunch speaks to the fact the restaurant is highly thought of by locals as well as by foreign visitors.
The restaurant is located in the downtown (Centro) area which is why it is not open in the evening or weekends. The downtown area of Sao Paulo is generally not a safe place to be in the evenings. Hence, the restaurant is open only during weekdays at the above stated times.
If you happen to be in Sao Paulo during the week and during the day, you will be pleasantly surprised if you take the time to visit the 7 Grill Restaurant, also called Sete Grill Restaurante.
