We walked through the area from the Cathedral da Se and stumbled upon this find. Very nice atmosphere, the extensive menu (in Protugese with English subtitles) included a long list of drinks, snacks, desserts, cakes, dinnner. Downstairs is a small table cafe , upstairs a sitdown restaurant. Restrooms are on the top floor.
Staff was plentiful and attentive. Had Acerola pulp juice with a local specialty cod fish cake. The apple strudel was also quite good, and there were other European-style sweet bakery items available and on display at the glass counter. This establishment accepts credit cards for payment. the neighborhood is possibly a little questionable after dark on a weekend, but it felt safe during daylight hours. The place appeared quite popular with locals. It is right next to a subway station and the Basilica. Nice flair.
