I had 5 nights here. Great place - so close to the metro makes navigating Sao Paulo very easy. Very friendly staff, bright and welcoming common areas and dorm. Very clean bathrooms and the hostel in general. During my time there were 3 parties there, but not sure if this is normal as it was quiet season for travellers, but great parties and lovely pool and poolside bar. Large luggage lockers under the bed keeps your gear safe. The owners and staff also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the pool, as you can get a bit of noise if ther...

Showed up at the door owner gave us a room by our selves for the four of us, and sorted out us getting food from his chief mate who came round the second night we stayed, very cool relaxed place. Breakfast wasn't that great, bread and a toasty with a slice of ham, had worst but had better.

The common area around the entrance is very nice and cozy with big couches and magazines and a bar, a very nice spot to hang out.
The room we stayed in was big, but a bit 'without soul' -white bunk beds, white walls, nothing special, but better that than dirty. The ensuite bathroom was surprisingly big, even had a bath tub (which I didn't use)
Unfortunately we couldn't use the pool, as there was some party the night before and therefore the pool was dirty. And even the second day we were there the pool still wasn't cleaned. And the pool was one of the main reasons we picked this hostel instead of another one...
The breakfast was very minimal, some toast and coffee and tea.
But the location of the hostel was great, close to the metro and eventhough we were girls travelling, we felt safe in the neighbourhood.

I chose this hostel knowing that I would be exhausted after a trip around Europe. I hired their pick up service, only to have one of the owners come to greet me! It was great getting to chat and to have someone who could give me a basic orientation of the city. Fabio was wonderful. His son Victor checked me in and gave me a quick tour.
This hostel was the perfect balance of social interaction and actually getting some sleep. Right near a university, there is plenty to do. There is a metro station (vila mariana) just under 2 blocks away. The chef makes homemade pasta. The breakfast includes eggs- almost unheard of in the hostel world. The internet ALWAYS worked (again, rare!).
Overall, it is true that this is one of the better hostels in Brazil (granted if you have traveled in Brazil, that doesn't mean much) but in all honesty it is a great choice. Thank you!

Room Tip: Upstairs room was a bit quieter than the downstairs.

the hostel has nice roomes with lockers. The bathrooms are a bit wet after three people had a shower, and there could be more bathrooms, but as always normaly it works. The staff and the owner are grear, friendly and very helpfull. The breakfast is quiet alright and the neighborhood is save. Great place :)

Close to the metro, amazingly friendly staff with the most useful tips on what to do in the city. The owner took us on a free city tour and generally people are just really nice! Good breakfast, clean place with a great vibe and a nerdy theme. If you want to party, there's potential, if you don't, get a room upstairs :). Even the big dorms are clean, the matresses really comfy, and sometimes there's even a (really good) dinner option.

The only negative I can find is that the bathroom-people-relation is a bit off when it is fully booked. That's fine in the summer when you can use the pool, in the winter you might have to wait to get in the shower for a couple of minutes.

The staff here was pretty relaxed...some other reviews I read said they are inattentive, but I found them to be really helpful if you just ask. Cleanliness was pretty standard though at the end of the day the bathrooms could get a little dirty and the kitchen could have used a cleaning. Otherwise the internet was free and reliable, common areas were nice to relax in, and the hostel is very close to the subway. I really liked the place and I'd stay here again!

Room Tip: I only saw the six and eight bed dorms, and stayed in a six bed. The eight bed dorm looked really s...
