“Under expected”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2013

It was pretty much under the expected for this type of hotel, although I could not understand why bedrooms became so small...you could hardly leave luggage on the floor as it was taking a lot of walking space.
Hotel localization is good, you can go to some of the best places in São Paulo pretty much in a walking distance, and that's the reason why this hotel is worthy.
So if you don't want to spend a good amount of money inside a taxi, I recommend you this hotel. Try to get a high floor bedroom to sleep with less noise from the streets and guests talking loud at the lobby.

SP is expensive but even if you pay $150 per night, you might not get what you expect. Even higher priced hotels have poor cleaning, bad WiFi, mediocre breakfast. Compared to average SP standard rates, you pay hostel prices here. But for this, you get reliable service. The rooms are not nice but functional, in my room, carpet and walls were dirty and there has been smoked as well. I would give an extra star for renovation. But again, you get that in a **** place as well. On the other hand, AC works fine, so does WiFi. Yes, you have to pay extra, but only $2 - compared to $10 you have to pay in many business hotels around the world. Beds are well but don't forget to bring shower gel and hair products as you will only get a bar of standard soap.
I can only underline other reviewer's praise of the location. The bus stop just on the opposite side of the street gets you everywhere in no time.
Make sure you use Google's route planner, as it gives you indications for the bus lines as well! Round the block is a giant supermarket where you get everything.
The area itself is nice (although posh) and safe to walk around even in the evenings. Make sure to eat at Galeria dos Paes at Estados Unidos (10 min walk) - a 24/7 diner with an excellent buffet. Avoid breakfast! It's of the lowest standards and they often run out of coffee/juice/cheese and it's an ugly place to spend your first hour in the morning.
If you're in any way budget sensitive - take it. If you're out for enjoying tourist life in Brazil or are a couple - avoid.

Room Tip: Ask whether they have already renovated rooms.

Very Good space, design and comfort, but the lack of professionalism in attendance (they did not treat me well and were ironic instead). Good location, they have a Carrefour supermarket and some good restaurants close ..

This is one of the most expensive areas in the entire city and this hotel still has VERY affordable prices. It's hard to beat the location. You do get what you pay for as far as size and creature comforts so expect that and you'll love it. The room is equivalent to a lower level outside cabin of a cruise ship. Not a lot of space, but it sleeps 3, has a tv, a shower with plenty of HOT water and the beds are comfortable and I was on the 5th floor on the busy street side and with the window closed didn't have any noise issues at all. The A/C worked great as well. My biggest complaint would be that the towels were small and rather thin and they only provide 2 little round bars of soap, so bring shampoo etc. The little store in the lobby is conveniently open all night, but a tad expensive. Everyone that worked there was courteous and helpful, although not a lot of English spoken, so be prepared for that if you don't speak Portuguese. There's a taxi stand out the front door so never an issue getting a taxi. There are several luncheonettes nearby and 2 VERY nice and $$$ restaurants within 2 blocks. Try Brasil a Gosto if you want a real Brazilian food experience that's not just a steakhouse. Overall, if you plan on spending much time in your room opt to spend more money or a different location. If you just need a clean comfortable place to sleep and shower and maybe relax for an hour or so during the day. This is your place.
