“Cheap stay”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

As a late decision I needed to stay one more day in São Paulo. As usual nowadays it's been hard to find available rooms in the last minute, but since this is a really big hotel, I could still find a cheap stay. It's a basic hotel, when your main objective is a place too sleep and have a shower next day. As bonus, you are steps away from Avenida Paulista and my preferred bakery, Bella Paulista: this is the best choice for late lunch or early breakfast (it's 24h/day)

The strongest point in this hotel is its location - really close to Paulista Avenue and to 2 subway stations. It's cheap, indeed; beds are comfortable and the showers are great. Nonetheless, some issues need to be considered: there is no wardrobe in the rooms, neither internet connection.

I debated giving 4 or 5 stars, and the value of this hotel in expensive Sao Paulo led me to a 5 star rating. Helpful staff, very good breakfast, quiet, clean room and excellent location-right next to the subway and a nice walk to a variety of restaurants and shopping. Sure, the rooms are small, and sometimes the check-in line is a bit crowded, but this is offset by a great convenience store and a staff that will cheerfully help you with anything. One must wonder what those who posted negative reviews expect for $80 US dollars per night? You CANNOT come close to this quality of hotel in cities like New York or London, and I will certainly select this location again on future visits. A business trip took me to Sao Paulo earlier this year, and the room was easily double the price, if not more- with no significant benefit other than being in a "nicer" neighborhood...yet this hotel was only 3 blocks from the Formule 1. A tree-lined street or a doorman in a tuxedo does not mean a better hotel. Great first experience with Formule 1.

Good price considering a great location at an expensive city. A few steps from Avenida Paulista and right beside a subway station. One thing to be attentive: the Paulista subway station is at Consolação Street and the Consolação station is at Avenida Paulista.
The rooms can accomodate up to three people. They're small, very compact, but clean and satisfactory. You can hear noises from other apartments here and there though. Nice staff. They offer breakfast at a small saloon for R$10 a person. If you're willing to someday spend a little more and try a superb bakery, I suggest the great Bella Paulista at Haddock Lobo Street, 354. Just two blocks away and open 24/7.

Afortunately a stayed there only for two days, as well as the ibis they barely speak other language than portuguese! They took me to the top floor and it started raining all the wall if the window got wet!!!and it strted getting into the room. It is really tiny room you dont even haveq bathroom, the sink is next to your bed and the shower is behind a glass door so thrres no divisions.
I wouldnt stay there even if they paid me!
