“Good food but outrageous prices”
Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

The menu is generous and the food is good. Pasta, risottos and main courses were all well prepared. Wine list offered all ranges of alternatives. It would be worth the visit if it wasn't for the bill. A trattoria with international cuisine prices.

“Uau!! the best italian restaurant in São Paulo”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

There is no single dish I have experienced in Emporio that was not awesome! That is all about Emporio Raviolli. I used to say no one was able to do a better Dobradinha (cattle guts cooked with white beans, sausage, etc.) than my mother. But they are! Cod (bacalhau) is outstanding, as well as the raviolli, the ossobuco, etc. A very good service and environment compliment this experience, a definitively must-go in São Paulo.

“Beware with the service!”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

Resisted to produce a legal receipt (nota fiscal paulista). Had to insist and kept me waiting for 20 min. This is a clear breach to local tax compliance (codigo do direito do consumidor)

“Reliable Italian food and a great lemon sorbet! In Vila Olimpia.”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

This is a classic Italian restaurant which would feel at home in any number of immigrant communities across the world. For those of you in the U.S., you would picture this in Brooklyn, northern New Jersey or the tourist environs of the North End in Boston. The food is very good and reliable. I've had several pasta dishes here and all have been very good. There was one stew entree that I would avoid as it did not turn out to be as described in English, more country offal, than city stew, so not my personal preference.

The staff is very attentive, very professional in that old neighborhood 'suit and handkerchief' sort of way. Picture Jersey City, circa 1965, which is not a bad thing!

Order the limoncello dessert. Not the liqueur, it is a lemon sorbet in a lemon.....one of the best I have had anywhere and a great ending to a pleasant evening!

“Excellent italian food”
Reviewed May 17, 2012

Emporio Ravioli is the classic italian trattoria. Full of atmoshpere with a nice decor, pictures of celebrities that were in the restaurant, and typical rustic furnitures.
get the waiters suggestions about the best dish of the day..pasta is delicious and good same as italy, al dente with all premium ingredients... but also main course and appetizers are delicious...
indulge with a tiramisu if you still have room.
perfet place for italians abroad or generally for italina food lovers...
