“One night stop-over in SAO PAULO”
Reviewed April 20, 2010

Very valuable and central located hotel in Sao Paulo on the way home for only one night stop over even free breakfast included. Room is small but clean and staff can speak good English, helpful with smile. About 8 mins walk from the Metro Consulação station and cafe, supermarket, pharmacy, shopping center, restaurants around the area with some sleazy bars at night. Taxi to most of places in Sao Paulo at night for the safety reason but, Metro is ok for day time. Breakfast is nothing special. Many room occupied and Airport Bus stop just outside of this hotel but need to check with the reception if you want to have some more info. This is not a best hotel in the town but, you will get what you pay for. I still recommend this hotel for transit tourist and who is on the budget.

Surprisingly upmarket hotel for the price. Breakfast is great, staff are friendly and the room we stayed in was very nice. Amazing value for money: we had the top floor balcony suite for about half the advertised rate. Room service is very basic but very cheap too.

Brilliantly located for shopping and nightlife - some of the coolest bars in the city are on your doorstep. Other reviews describe it as being in the 'red light district' - I wouldn't go that far, there are just some 'girlie bars' along the street.

Great venue to explore the buzzy metropolis of Sao Paulo. We booked in for two nights and ended up staying for seven.

i booked this hotel based on the trip advisor reviews because i was looking for something inexpensive for a one night stop over in sao paulo. either i got the only bad room in the place or the other reveiwers stayed at a different hotel. my room was old and rundown, very loud - i could hear street noise all night, and everytime the door to the room next door opened or closed it sounded like it was in my room! the bathroom was ok but in need of some major updating. i arrived in the evening by airport shuttle bus and i would definitely not walk alone at night around this hotel. when i entered the room the breakfast looked great but on closer inspection everything seemed a bit stale like it had been sitting out for who knows how long...there has to be a better option! the only plus, besides the free wifi - was the guy at the front desk when i arrived. he was helpful in explaining how to get a bus to belo in the morning.

although the hotel shows some age from the outside, the room is surprisingly well-maintained, and delightfully cosy. It is spacious, and impaccably clean, airy, and most importantly, flat-screen TV, and fast wifi access making our stay more cosy and convienent. We will stay there again next time when we are in Sao Paulo. In terms of location, it is quite central. The closest metro is about 8 - 10 mins walk (slightly uphill) on the Paulista Street where is main commerical buildings are. Like some reviewers mentioned, during the day, it is quite pleasant to walk, but avoid walking alone late at night back to the hotel because of the bars nearby.

This was much nicer than we thought it would be. The staff was helpful (suggested we take our laundry across the street instead of doing it through the hotel to save money) and the breakfast was good. The location was nice for those who enjoy walking... it took about 20 minutes to get to the Central Market and 20 minutes (uphill) to get over to Jardins. We took a taxi at night and they were easy to find. The room was comfortable and while the bathroom was a bit small, it was all we needed. Free wifi was a nice touch. I'd easily rec'd this to someone looking to save some money while in Sao Paulo.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was a very nice experience.
Walking distance to the subway. On the day time was very safe to walk there, but take care in the night.
We would absolutely recomend it.

A great find for my two days in Sao Paulo. I attended a trade show at the Frei Caneca Convention Center. The hotel was 1 and 1/2 blocks from the center. It was absolutely convienent. Some reviewers have complained that it is in the red light district but I thought it was fine. It was a 15 minute walk to Ave. Paulista and the metro along brightly lit, busy streets.
The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The reception poeple were very friendly and helpful. Every request I had from directions, storing my bag as I went to the coast overnight, and receiving a Fed Ex package was graciously honored. The room I had, 705, was superb for the price. The queen bed was very comfortable, there was a fridge, safe, and best of all a balcony overlooking the quiet part of the neighborhood.
All in all a great find for the price.
