Expensive hotel....overrated and dated. Musty rooms, expensive buffets and desk staff not helpful, more interested in rules that in customer service!

Won't go back at these high prices. I travel often and stay at 4 star hotels often, this is not one of them I would recommend.

Booked this hotel because it had a free shuttle from the airport and good reviews. It didn't disappoint!

The reviews about the staff are all true. They are friendly and helpful - eager to engage in a welcoming conversation even if English is a challenge for them (and my Portuguese is limited to a few words)!

The airport shuttle was efficient and ran every 20 minutes. The drivers were friendly and helped with luggage.

The buffet breakfast was delicious with many choices including a fresh egg station.

We wish we had checked out the pool when it was sunny. It looked like a nice from a distance.

Wireless internet is most reliable in the lobby and restaurant areas. It worked well on my laptop in our room but our iPads wouldn't connect.

Room Tip: As for a renovated room facing the pool.

This was a very good place to spend a night after an overnight flight to Brazil. The staff let us check in by 10 am for the following night which was great The rooms we had were very nice and recently remodeled They gave us rooms on the executive floor which was really nice. The breakfasts at the hotel were great - full buffets with omelette bar and many many choices. They even let us eat free both days rather than just the one That's what I call great service. The lobby bar was nice as well and there is a good pool and health club at the hotel. The shuttle service to airport was good and efficient - its runs frequently. There is also a shuttle to a one of the largest malls in Brazil which runs several times daily which was kind of fun for shopping and eating All in all a great choice.

Room Tip: executive floor is great

This hotel is conveniently located close to the airport, the rooms are nice and clean -- your usual Marriott rooms, the breakfast buffet and restaurant are good (the coffee in the morning buffet is terrible but the coffee in the bar is good), but the Internet is not reliable. Several times I had to talk to the technical support personnel at 1am, and all they did was restart the routers since they were clueless. Couldn't even load a Google page in less than a minute. At other times I just gave up. The connection at the lobby was better. A colleague told me the wired connection in his room worked, the one in my room did not. And by the way, you have to pay for a non-working Internet connection in your room. The Front Desk would offer not to charge for the Internet, but what I needed was a working connection -- terrible service.

Its ideally located near Guarulhos Airport which takes only 10minutes. The free shuttle is convenient.

The lobby is nice and the staff is friendly. The rooms are generally comfortable but its really old. Wiith some renovation the hotel can be upgraded to another level.

Also the breakfast and dinner buffet is great.

We stayed at this hotel for one night at the beginning of our trip to S America and one night at the end in Feb / March 2013.
We did not wish to travel into São Paulo as the traffic is terrible and the journey into the city can take up to 2 hours.
We were travelling with 'Imagine Latin America' and had asked for a hotel close to the airport where we could relax for the day.
This was perfect.
The hotel is situated 10 minutes drive from the hotel by free shuttle bus. The shuttle bus is towards the left on the 2nd row pavement outside the main entrance of Terminal 1 and slightly towards the right outside terminal 2 . Not clearly marked but there is a small sign saying 'hotel vans'.
The shuttle runs every 20 mins and displays 'Marriott' on the front windscreen.
The Hotel is in the process of refurbishment and is doing all it can to make sure guests are not inconvenienced in any way.
The downstairs lobby, restaurant and bar are light and airy and comfortable. We mainly ate in the bar which was very reasonably priced and the food good.
The swimming pool area is very pleasant, very clean, not much noise from the airport and we enjoyed several hours relaxing there - it was hot and humid during our stay. Also the area around the hotel did not seem at all attractive for exploration.
Both times we were booked into an executive room with access to the executive lounge.
The first time we stayed was in a pool facing room on the 8th floor..It hadn't yet been refurbished and was a bit tired but was fine and had everything we needed. Plenty of surfaces to put our belongings on, good hanging space and very comfortable king size bed, tea and coffee making facilities and quiet air con. The shower was a bit iffy as it needed de scaling.
In this room we had 120v plugs which our round two pin uk adaptors fitted.
The second time we stayed we had a pool facing, refurbished room on the 9th floor which was lovely with new furniture, lovely comfy bed and excellent shower plus everything mentioned previously. In this room we had 120 and 240 v recessed plugs which our adaptors wouldn't fit. Appropriate adaptors were available from the reception desk. They were still completing some of the rooms and lounge further down the corridor but this did not bother us at all.
I would definitely recommend asking for a pool facing room as they are away from the busy roads around the hotel. We were not at all aware of aircraft noise anywhere in the hotel.
The executive facilities were a bit of a disappointment. The lounge was only a small room with a few tables to eat from on the first floor and the snacks available a bit sparse. Hopefully this will improve when the renovations are completed and the full facility on the 9th floor is open.

Finally the staff at the hotel were really great - friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us often in a mixture if Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Thanks to all of them.

We selected this hotel based on proximity to the airport, as we were going on a cruise the following day and needed to return to the airport the following morning to get our cruise transportation to the port, Santos. Everyone, from the bell staff, to the front desk staff, to bartenders and servers were friendly, accommodating, and professional. We met others on the cruise who had stayed there, as well, and all reviews were positive. My only regret is that we didn't stay there post-cruise instead of waiting at São Paolo airport for 10 hours for our flight home. We would certainly recommend this hotel to others.
