This Marriott is everything an airport hotel should be -- shuttle service to/from GRU, soaring lobby bar with large screen televisions and free wifi, competent front desk staff, comfortable rooms, and large restaurant with decent food. In addition, there is a lovely outside area for lounging by the spotless pool. Breakfast amongst the best in Brazil.

Used the Marriott as a stopover between long flight from JNB and drive up the BR101 to Rio via Paraty and Ilha Grande. Location of this hotel is excellent for accessing the two major highways heading north. Made renting a car simple.

Room Tip: Pool side is best for quiet.

When you arrive in a city after a long flight and are staying at an airport hotel you seek a fast transfer from the terminal to the hotel, a fast and efficient check in, a comfortable and functioning room and a good hotel restaurant.

This airport Marriott delivered on all counts. The check in was fast and efficient. The room - typical layout and features of most Marriott Hotels built in the 1980's. The room has been updated, the bathroom functioning, but small. The internet in the room work fine, may not have been blazingly fast but more than adequate.

The restaurant offered a broad selection of Brazilian and international foods in their breakfast buffet. Service was a little on the slow side, without any apparent pressures that would slow them down. As I wasn't in a rush I was happy to "go with the flow", but if you were under time pressure it could have been annoying.

The pricing is no bargain, but then again Sao Paulo is no bargian in hotel room rates. Relative to its peers it was "fairly" priced.

As an Airport Hotel it worked well.

Stayed here for business, and the hotel itself is quite nice. Friendly staff, and the restaurant serves very good food. The in room internet (at least in my room was rather slow, and occasionally no existent, bu other than that, I have no complaints about the hotel itself.

The location is very close to the airport, but not so close that you hear a lot of noise. On the other hand, there is absolutely nothing else that is close to the hotel, so don't make any plans to take a walk to find a restaurant....

All in all, a pleasant place, especially if just for a layover.

Room Tip: One side of the hotel faces a highway, and while not extremely noisy, you can hear the cars in your room. Getting a room on the side facing the pool is definitely quieter.

Good business type hotel close to the airport. Great as a stop over spot for an evening. Food good, service very friendly and efficient.

Regular transfers to the airport- every 20 minutes- very convenient.

Not close to Sao Paulo though- so chance to pop into the city for an evening limited.

I conduct a lot of business in Brazil. I have stayed at this hotel at least 20 times since 2005. The location is great if you don't have to go into the city. If you need to go into the city every day, you could spend a long time in traffic. Close to the airport, but not close to the city. Very good staff all around. Many of the people at the front desk speak 2 or 3 languages. Check in can be slow when a shuttle arrives. Excellent breakfast. Furniture is a little dated in the rooms, but not too bad. Nice work out facility with modern equipment. Rooms on the pool side are quieter. I really like this hotel. I stay there every time I go to Sao Paulo.

Room Tip: Rooms on pool side are quieter. Don't accept a room on the first couple of floors. You will hear music from the bar when you want to go to sleep.
