This is a typical Ibis hotel with standard room and a good breakfast. The location is good when you have your own car. There is a relativley good access to the surrounding highways (Bandeirantes and Anhangüera) but you need to know your way as always in Brazilian cities. The price is high for what you get but this is in the meanwhile also normal for Brazilian hotels. I can recommend this hotel for one night when you have business in the Campinas area.

Ibis standard, no frills. Good room, silent. I am bothered with the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway, even the floor is non smoking.

IBIS - cheap and cheerful. But actually not so cheap once you add on the price of a breakfast, parking and so on. My partner and I recently drove through Brazil and found that for around 250R$ per night we could stay in a gorgeous 4 star hotel in most places. The IBIS seemed easy for a quick night-stop in Campinas at 159R$. However by the time we'd parked and had breakfast we were cracking the 200R$ mark and the place was really quite depressing. You queue like you were in a supermarket for your check-in, you take your own bags to your room which is like a pod. The bed was terrible - soft and sagging and the sheets and pillows felt plasticky. The bathroom was tiny with only two old, hard towels which were for the bath and none for the hair. The safe did not work and nobody answered the phone at reception when I tried to complain. My husband commented that he felt like he was eating breakfast in prison the next day. I'm all for cheap and cheerful but it really wasn't so cheap and I think next time I'd just pay a bit more for a proper hotel stay.

Ibis Campinas features standard Ibis rooms (comparatively small, but adequate).
Campinas doesn't have many hotels in Central Location. There is a Mercury (three-star hotel) in the same block.
There were many people nearby waiting for a Bus to Airport Viracopos in the front square.
Breakfast is usually not included in rate (R$ 13 - about USD$ 7) and it's better than many Ibis in the country. It had yogurt, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, bread, jam, milk, coffee, fresh fruits...
Pros: there is usually plenty of rooms available. Rather easy to change your reservation by the phone (if you speak portuguese).
Cons: long lines for check-in or check-out may be very unpleasant.
Room window cannot be opened (you depend on AC 24hrs).

Boa sorte!

Hotel and room were clean and well maintained. Staff was courteous and helpful. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby, but need to get new sign-on every hour. Rooms are typically cleaned in the late morning or afternoon, so you don't have to remember to put out the "Don't Disturbed" sign if you are sleeping late or have late meetings. Only drawback is that the hotel is somewhat isolated from places to see or socialize. Need to have transportation to go anywhere.
