I spent the carnival of 2013 camped on the beach. I arrived for the Madero's trail, on left side of the beach. I arrived on the sixth and stayed until Tuesday. Even the carnival, you can't hear anything on this beach. Just the sound of the waves, singing of the birds. Perfect to who likes natural places and nature. A little escape of the city noise and common trade on beaches. Several people were there, not so many. I think about 50 at most(Tops) !! In the woods near of the beach had several clearings perfet to camp and stay with your friends. On the right side of the beach there is a drinking water spout !!! Very Nice Place !

Lagoinha is really a place to visit if you like isolated nature beaches. Finding the path is a bit tricky though, for a non-Portugese speaker, but the path was finally found up the hill, behind the bus stop, outside a small fishermen village, Pantano do Sul.

It takes appr an hour to walk there for two adults: half up the hills and then down. Have proper shoes, the path maybe partly a bit tricky. And water, as the walk is very sweaty :)

Beach is absolutely amazing, no people, no services, only sea and sand. Behind the dunes one can find an inner lake, but it reminded the lakes/rivers back home in Scandinavia. The dunes offered wind cover though which was useful during a windy autumn day.

To go to the Beach you can either walk 1 hour or take the fisher boat.
We decided to walk. It was really hot and exhausting but the view you have on the top is very nice. And as soon as you get to the beach you can have a swim in the sea.
As it started to rain we took the boat back, which was also a nice experience.

You should walk up through the forest about an hour and then go down from the other side of the mountain into a beautiful almost private beach with a small warm lagoon.
When you continue walking on the beach you can find a small path to a viewpoint!
