“Excellent hotel”

Excellent hotel, close to city center and airport. Very big rooms with large windows. Large and soft bed, enough storage space. Friendly staff. Not cheap at all, but very comfortable. Breakfasts are very good, wide choice, they even have sparkling wine, fruits and cakes. One of the best shopping centers is next door from the hotel, there are also a lot of cafe and bars in this area. The only disadvantage: wi-fi access is not free, 24R$/24hours and has to be renewed every day.

However, still not that great, more like average I'd say. Upon arriving after several flights and pretty tired. We find our room looking OK but actually not.
The room seemed pretty clean,however the pillows had makeup on them, when I informed the front desk - of course they sent someone to clean and change the room. It was clean from then on, which is what you would expect.
I asked for internet in my room for compensation, they wanted to just change my room, not sure how that helps when you are tired and could have found something similar wrong. So, they did comp the internet and that was nice to have. If they had some competition the hotel would have to try harder.
But, until they do, if we have a reason to be back there, I guess we would stay again. It does have a wonderful location, lots of choices pf where to eat and shop. Funny none of the cab drivers knew where this hotel was, even when you showed them the hotel's card...? Weird

Room Tip: Higher floors for less hotel noise.

I went for a 24hs business trip to PoA and enjoyed the comfort, elegance and quality service of
Sheraton Porto Alegre. Always a pleasure, always a great experience. Across de street is the best gourmet area of the city. Beside the hotel, the finest mall of the city. Worth going.

It is located in the heart of the Porto Alegre great pubs. In front do Padre Chagas street and in the Moinhos Shopping. A hotel inside the shopping! Thats perfect. It is expensive, but IF you can i recomend! It has a pool and a gym in the highest floor of the holel!

I am a US business traveler that has stayed at many Sheraton hotels in the past. This is simply not up to my standards. It is because I am on the 9th floor in an old and dingy room. There is mildew in the bathroom, no electrical outlet for my hair tools in the bathroom (DRIVING ME CRAZY) and the carpets are filthy. I have other co workers staying in the Club suites, because they are platinum members and their rooms are great. I guess us new people get the bad run down rooms. Makes me not want to stay at a Sheraton again.

Good standard of the entire structure. Would like to mention a good support from the reception with a very friendly wellcome.
Had some difficulties in booking a taxi with the credit card through the guest service but once more the reception offered me a great support and help.
Room are nice.
Still struggle to understand why, with this level of hotel, internet is not complimentary.
Will anyeay be back again

Got charged an early check in fee of 75 US dollars even though the room was empty and ready for me. Wifi is expensive and constantly needs to be reordered (5$ for 3hrs, 14$ for 24hrs). Lobby wifi is complimentary but you only get 40min per day. Will definitely not stay here again.
