Enjoyed three nights in Gramado. Great break from business trip in Porto Alegre. The hotel is right in town and walkable to everything. The salon was a great place to unwind. Mature travelers might find the loud children too much at times.
Breakfast was very nice and staff friendly. I hope to return again.

All staff are very nice. It is a cozy hotel in a excellent location. It is just few steps away from main attractions and restaurants.
Breakfast it is excellent!
Our room it was just a little bit old... Maybe hotel can think on a refurbishment, so all rooms can be a nice place to stay.

A great hotel, wonderful service, attentive staff. Very conveniently located in the centre of town, I wondered why I had rented a car to drive from Porto Alegre rather than take the bus or a taxi.

Make your booking through the link on the hotel's site, rather than direct with the hotel, since we were not quoted the discounted price (available on the site) when we checked with the hotel reservations.

Restaurant dinner menu is rather limited, if you are not a fan of its speciality, "Game" (which, in the Brazilian tradition, includes dishes such as lamb and allegator!).

It's worth considering one of the 'packages' of extras available on the site.

This hotel makes you feel at the same time in England, Germany, France and southern Brazil. It is got its own kind of charm and good taste that any other in town can not compare. Their Sunday brunch (at around US$20) is spetacular as it is their regular breakfast (at around US$10). If you are not very wild- life-correct, you can also try their restaurant and feel as if you are eating the results of your hunting day. If you are a member of the RCI vacation club you may have a good discount here.

My wife and I stayed at Casa da Montanha for 2 days in the weekend. We stayed at the Luxo room, which is the most simple. The room is good sized, bed is comfortable, you can choose among 5 kinds of pillows, has a small table with uncomfortable wood chairs and a small balcony wiewing the araucaria forest. Bathroom in big, simple but complete (hair dryer and ammenities).
The hotel is all beatiful, with a decoration inspired on hunting themes. Is is a really warm romantic place to stay.
Heated swimming poll and jacuzzi are very nice.
Lounges are very comfortable, with magazines, newspapers, nice sofas and chairs, fireplace and big TV.
The nicest thing at Casa da Montanha is that they have a lot of nice surprises for clients: bed is prepared for sleeping time, chocolates, strawberries, pop corn and chimarrão are offered with no charge. When you leave hotel you get a travel kit (mineral water, apple and cereal bar in a nice tissue bag).
Employees are very nice, always smiling and willing to help.
We had a superb brunch on Sunday. It is spectacular. A mix of Italian, German and Brazilian food, with a lot of choices and tastes superbly.
In my opinon, room are overpriced, but food and drinks have reasonable honest prices.
Something else: on Sundays, check-out time is free. You can have lunch, go sightseeing, walking, go tthe poll, rest, have some sleep and leave hotel at night with no extra charges.
This is a very nice differential.
