Plus;
The breakfast was good, and the location of the hotel was perfect. The staff was service-minded and nice. The rooms with balcony and sea-view was comfortable and spacious.
Minus;
The hotel management was not service-minded and helpful. There was some ants visiting the room, especially at night time. Be prepared to keep your kitchen very clean to minimize their visit.

Natal is a very nice place to visit for a european looking for an exotic holliday. There are very few other europeans there, and no one from USA. Most tourists are from other parts of Brasil. This also means that very few speaks any english at all down there. Since this place is so close to the equator, the sun is very strong, so even though it is partly clouded and partly sunny weather, you need to go for the +50 sun factor your first week there.
There is a large variety of good resturants, but the prices have gone up the last ten years (since we visited last time), so now the price level is closer to the european level, even though still cheaper.
We found an english-speaking local guide that could help us with everything from taxi to/from airport to exclusive tours around Natal. I would recomend him strongly for other in need of a contact down there. His name is Pedro Cardoso, and he can be contacted via Natal Tourist Guide.

Very good price / quality relation. Clean hotel and room, friendly stuff, good breakfast, super location, nice room. I recommend it. Pool is very small i would say more a decoration, this is the only thing i would complain about. Everything else exceed my expectations.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in last December during Christmas holidays. We were a group of 5 people in 3 different rooms, none with a sea view. We booked 6 months early to take some good prices and we do not regret that. It is not a fancy hotel, but well-located in front of Ponta Negra beach. They have parking place for those with a car. The staff is attentive and you can find them at any time in the front desk. However, I don’t think all of them can speak enough English to deal with foreigners. I noticed some foreigners faced some issues when asking for some help, but not very serious. They can also help you with tours, but there is a travel agency at the same street, just some meters far. The breakfast is very good, served in the ground floor with sea view, with good options of local foods and other Brazilian pastries. Try the fruit juices, mainly those made of local cajus and cajás. Cajá is a local fruit, hardly found in other Brazilian regions, so try it as you find it. You’ll not regret. The rooms are very spacious, with air conditioning and a little kitchen and even 2 TVs. A couple who was with us was given a family room. I think this room can accommodate about 5-6 people easily!

In the breakfast area, there is also a swimming pool. It’s rather small, though. But you’ll not want to swim in the pool, as you'll have the whole sea in front of you. We had a pleasant stay there and we would surely return, if we can.

I made a reservation at King's Flat Hotel and everything seemed OK - good price, a great location, beds for three adults, and a confirmation that the reservation had gone through. That's when the hotel contacted us and said there would be a 25% surcharge for the extra person, which is not according to the reservation. When we tried to address the situation we were treated rudely and encouraged to rebook at a higher price. No way we're going to stay at a place like this. Avoid the hassle and don't hit the confirm booking button - you'll be glad you don't have to go through the un-booking process.

Nice neighborhood, very good apartments, all new furniture, very clean. There's a living rooms and a kitchen which is very convenient. Overall it's a very good hotel to stay in. There are many places to eat nearby, it's on the beach... There were only 2 negatives during my stay. One is that, even though I booked a non refundable rate that was supposed to be charged on my credit card before my stay, the hotel said they don't charge in advance. You have to pay when you check in. That can be a problem when you travel thinking that everything is paid for. What if you didn't bring enough money to pay for the hotel thinking that it was all set? The second problem is regarding breakfast. The hotel says it's until 10am, however I went at 9:15 and they were out of several things such as juices, breads, and fruit salad. There was barely anything. They said they wouldn't bring more food out. If breakfast is until 10, they should keep bringing food until 10! That makes no sense.
