My wife and I have been going to Lamas since the late 1970s. While we have tried most of the items on the menu, we repeat the same dishes quite often like lingua ao molho madeira com purée (tongue with madieira sauce and mashed potatoes), carne assada. However, the restaurant prides itself on having the best filet mignon in town. I have tried it and it is outstanding. Most dishes will feed two people. The draft beer is always cold.
One of the strongest points at Lamas is the waiter service that is done by true professionals that start at Lamas when young and remain there until retirement.
