We spent two lovely nights at this boutique hotel. The equipment in the room were magnificent. Fluffy white towels and face washers and quality shampoo, conditioner and body lotion the proprietor was well informed and helpful and quick to see needs. The breakfast was delicious. But receptionist in here wasn't helpful so much, we ordered 2 bottled milk and waited until the next morning to received. However overall we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the experience.

Nice localtion right in front of the Copacabana beach.

Most hotels in the area are quite OK. Service and small details should make a difference and in this case they miss something.

Service is rather poor. As any hotel in Copacabana beach front they are fully booked most days: late check outs, people arriving early from Europe and US flights.....a crowd in reception waiting to check in. A simple smile and ackonowledgment would be enough however they still miss that.

Doormen, bellboys and so forth seem to be there to kill time rather than to work.

Breakfast buffet is OK. Totally self service as even drinks come from the buffet.

The only reason why I would stay here is an ocean view room. There is nothing else that appeals to me. They lack the service and the willingness to help. Plenty of other options out there.

Room Tip: Do not bother. Will not happen!

Since last year the prices have being going up and up plus service is down / bad, that could not care less attititude is abound. Not just by a couple of Rial, but vast amounts, why I ask myself, then the management ( front desk ) inform me that it is because of the football World Cup next year, so take it or go else where. A killing for sure at the customers expense! Other hotels are not doing this, so avoid this hotel who are obviously trying to prifiter from such an event. Apart from that, its changed, the service is bad,, not a good place to be. Try another hotel where they treat the guest as people and not money machines.

A few steps from Copacabana Palace at an affordable price. Basic hotel with great staff, good clean room and bathroom facing the ocean. Does not have much charm, but perfect for what it is, and a good sleep for a few nights. Easy taxi or local bus transport to all sites. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. This hotel did the job.

Breakfast was delicious, many variations of the local cousine. Rooms clean, staff nice. Would not recommend for pool lovers but who needs a pool when staying at the Copacabana Beach!!!! Don't book attaractions via agents, cheaper to go by taxi. Not many people speak English in Rio, when using taxis show the driver the address or the name of the place. Choose taxis with logo (any logo) on the side as these are cheaper than the ones with just TAXI on.

bad location if you want to go to center and do not have a car. telephone, fridge and safety box were broken. they came to repair it but still very was annoying. the rooms were pretty standard but below the 4 star standard in my opinion. Unfortunately the choice of this hotel was the negative part of my vacation.

Had to stay here because Copacabana Palace would not allow us to make a reservation for the full duration of our honeymoon.

However this hotel is just a few steps from Copacabana Palace... wonderful location. In everything else, this is an adequate, if unexciting hotel... no better and no worse than your regular Sheriton or Holiday Inn.

It is probably a better hotel for business than leisure because the rooms are pretty small... ours was not the smallest or cheapest either. So be prepared to get out quite a bit, if you are staying here. Plus, the pool is tiny, so again, be prepared to hit the beach, if you want to tan/swim.

Other than that, most everything was pretty adequate... breakfast (included), internet (extra), service (guided tours available, reservations at nearby restaurants), bed (king size mattress was a split - two twin size mattresses), bar, safe, etc.

Two big pluses is that this hotel has a great location and offers a superb value... prices for our stay were very affordable, even though part of our stay was during the Carnaval and prices everywhere else skyrocketed into absurd.
