We deeply enjoyed the professional and warm Staff. Great located hotel, great design. Wonderful Breakfast Buffet and best service you could ask for. We felt like we were at the place to be in Rio de Janeiro.

Fasano invests quite heavily in its service. The result is the best hotel staff I've ever encountered in my life. They are extremely friendly, pleasant, efficient and quick in sorting any request. You arrive at the hotel and the doorman, receptionists and the concierge team make sure you feel instantly at home. The consierge team, in particular, deserves a special appraisal for their extreme politeness and efficiency. The staff at the beach is also really nice. In short: Fasano Rio de Janeiro offers simply THE BEST SERVICE EVER.

Thank you Fasano for a fantastic weeks holiday. Outstanding service by all the staff from checking in, housekeeping, pool area and the restaurant Fasano Al Mare.
We were on the 6th floor 605 Deluxe ocean view with fantastic views and the mountains. Great to come back to in the evening and sit and relax on the balcony. The room was large and felt very comfortable. Excellent service by house keeping, it was my partner birthday they arranged a cake, balloons and Fasano gifts. The pool area is the best I've seen fantastic for great photos. Don't be afraid to take selfies everyone else is. The pool staff are very attentive with sorting your sun lounger out and serving drinks and snacks. We ate in the Restaurant a couple of times and felt very special. It's of Michelin star standards the service and food was amazing. Breakfast every day was lovely, so much to choose from and a hot menu. We loved how the whole hotel has a real air of glamour and sophistication and the staff will take time to talk to you. We loved talking to the breakfast manager in the mornings a lovely glamours Brazilian lady. We felt very safe around the hotel area and Ipanema. The hotels security is always visible at the entrance. By the end of the week we didn't want to leave and felt Hotel Fasano totally exceeded our expectations. Will be going back again.

from the time we checked in until we departed the service was excellent by all the staff including security located at the front entrance. The stunning views of the beach, the beautiful pool and bar rooftop was impressive. The restaurant on site was a Michelin when we stayed a few years ago.....excellent experience.
We definitely would staff at this Hotel again if our travel takes us back to beautiful RIO
Room tip: One with views over beautiful IPANEMA Beach.

We came back for our anniversary last year and we would return every time.... the views and the location are unbeatable! The service is excellent too!
You should go early to the pool to get a good sun chair for the rest of the day!
Wouldn't waste money on the lower category of rooms...the good ones are the ones with the views!!!!
Breakfast is excellent too!

We were drawn to The Phillipe Starck designed Fasano hotel by numerous reviews that highlighted its stylish interiors. We stayed for three nights and had to agree, it is very stylish and beautifully located, across the road from IPANEMA beach. The staff are, without exception, friendly, helpful and as well presented as their hotel.
However, while a lot of thought has gone into how the hotel looks, very little effort and skill has been devoted to practical amenities. Air conditioning never seems to cool properly (outside max daily temps in the high 20sC ). The room had an enduring musty smell, the source of which I couldn't identify. A lot of space, in a normal sized room, was wasted to have the bed as an island, facing the beach view. Storage space was woefully inadequate - no drawers anywhere! A hanging rail was jus a mere 450mm or so above a shelving unit; rendering it almost useless; I couldn't even hang trousers folded over the hanger.
On a positive note, our dinner at the hotel's upmarket restaurant was top notch. Expensive, but worth every penny. The roof top pool and bar is truly world class with views that capture the essence of Rio's magical beaches and cone shaped hills.
In summary, a few small modifications could let this beautiful hotel stand tall among the best in the world.
