“Best option for quality vs price vs Location in Rio”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2011

Rios is not a cheap place at all. Not to mention hotels. I stayed in this hotel twice, one in October 2009 and now. Both times the service was great, rooms super clean and the breakfast is amazing, way way better than other hotels far more expensive. The location of the hotel is great, in the corner of Copa close to Ipanema (15 minutes walking to Ipanema) , I suppose that makes it cheaper than some dreadful hotels in Ipanema.

We had a problem with the room (In the first floor, close to electrical gear in the parking lot) , it was very noisy. Problem solved easily , asked for a new room and got it without any hassle. Summary: great hotel, not fancy but a great choice to stay in Rio.

The Hotel is very good for its price. Good location, friendly staff, very clean and well maintained. Room is tiny and breakfast area could be bigger.
I would be back.

I offer a 3/5 star grade here from the American perspective. Stayed 2 nights in April on business, company covered the stay so can't comment on value for the price. But I know it was probably pricey compared to similar hotels in the USA, but this is Rio, arguably Brazil's busiest hotel market.
First off, there's little to complain of from a service perspective. Front desk staff speak English, help with cabs, the rooms are small but clean with a good shower, minibar, safe, etc.
Breakfast is included and has a very nice Brazilian spread in the morning. Rooms for a single are just a good bit smaller than what most Americans would be used to. But if you come up with a good price offer for this place, don't be afraid to book.

I stayed at this hotel after doing some business in Sao Paulo. This was my first time I have ever travel alone which made me nervous and my very first time to Rio and Brazil. The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, they give me the information I needed to get to Sugar loaf mountian, Cristo Rendento and Ipanema by bus and on foot. The breakfast was amazing. The beach is so close and I found it quite safe you just need to be sensible. I loved it!! :D I was only there for two nights, the rooms are slightly dated but very comfortable. They have safety deposit boxes in the rooms. Amazing people, amazing place and hotel.......

I'm ⅔ through a three week stay here at the Windsor Martinique. The hotel and facilities are reasonably basic, but completely acceptable and clean. The staff are professional, and most speak quite good English. The price and facility are excellent for the location - spitting distance from the beach. Internet access is rather slow, but on-par with other hotels I've stayed at in the city. There is a roof-top "pool", which is slightly larger than your average bath tub, but is abandoned at this time of year. I would suggest springing for the "Superior" room, as the "Standard" room is pretty small. I will definitely consider this hotel the next time I'm in Rio.

The fitness centre is pretty basic, but present - couple of treadmills in a rooftop room.

Check out Frontera down the street - they have a great all-you-can-eat Pizza deal.

This is a very clean, very well run hotel, with very attentive staff. The location is excellent at the end of Copacabana beach, so only a short walk to Ipenema. It's pretty expensive given the size of the room, but so is everything else around. I was very satisfied.
