This trail is not so popular, but it's awesome. Lots of monkeys running around. There is a nice breeze even when it's warm weather. No bikes are allowed neither skating or skateboarding, so it's pretty relaxed. Highly recommendable

We had two hours to kill waiting for the line to Sugar loaf. If you are lucky enough to have someone save your place in line, the trail is an easy relaxing walk away for all of the people and traffic.

I are going to Rio and dreaming about visiting the famous Sugar Loaf. So include on your tour a little walk by this track. It starts right by the Praia Vermelha and is about 2Km long. You will have the see by your right and the urca mountain by your left. You will see birds like the Tie sangue, maritacas and tucanos (if you are lucky). Finishing the walk. Take a coconut by Vermelha beach!

It is amazing you can see the mountains one side and the ocean in the other! Really beautiful!
Maybe you will see little monkeys. And always full of people exercising.

This trail take you to one of fabulous areas of Rio, where the nature will be exuberant, and you can see monkeys, butterfly's, birds, and have different angles of views from Sugar loaf, the ocean and forest. This trail take you as well to the Sugar Loaf ount, for those who want more of just a tour visit. Is possible to reach the first part of the mount in about 30 to 40 minutes, when you do this trail up, even kids can do it. You will pay 50% of the cost of ticket to visit the Sugar Loaf, and you have the plus of all the experience. Make sure you take water, and some snack food ....but please do not feed the animals, this is prohibit and you will not help the nature. Have a bag for your rubbish is important, even you can collect some items that some people live behind.....express our love to the nature is keep our environment clean ! Enjoy Pista Claudio Coutinho and have a wonderful day !
