“I love going there for a walk!”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

The place is really special! Everytime I want to relax and enjoy nature, that's the place for me to go!
Early in the morning or late in the afternoon you can always find a lot of locals as well as turistis walking in this path! It' very beautiful and you can always spot monkeys, blue butterflies and colorful birds. Excelent place for pictures, you can also climb Morro da Urca!

“Don't miss it in your visit to sugar loaf.”
Reviewed June 18, 2012

Actually you can go to first hill of sugar loaf by a little walking from Claudio Coutinho trail, it's not hard for young people in good health condition, there's no need to climb up, just walk by foot and on the way you can take a lot's of pictures of guanabara bay.

You will need to pay to go up to another hill or to go down back to the entry if want to take the cable car, but the cable car company will give you a fair discount, but just if you pay in cash (cards may be not accepted all the time outside the main entry).

“Free Jogging & Nature Contact”
Reviewed May 22, 2012

Claudio Coutinho Trail is located at the Urca district in Rio, right in front of the famous Sugar Loaf.

The area is somehow supervised by the military, since its HQ is right on the entrance of the trail.

The trail is on the edge of the Sugar Loaf mountain and one of the preferred area for jogging. Another famous ( and real ) stories about it are their small monkeys.( But yor are not allowed to feed them)., They are always there!

Totally worth a visit!

“Nice stroll, great scenery”
Reviewed April 30, 2012

You can take your bike, lock it up in the racks provided at the starting point and go for a nice walk, nothing strenuous. Very safe neighbourhood, picturesque beach. Decent food at the Clube Militar nearby. From this trail you can hike up to the first stage of the Sugar Loaf cable car station.
