We finished our Brazil tour in style with one night back in Rio before heading back to the UK. This hotel is also known as Américas Benidorm. After a few budget hotels it was good to have some comfort, with a roof-top pool, free WiFi and a great breakfast. Service was excellent, with the porter even explaining how the TV and air con worked! Located close to the Copacabana beach and shopping streets it rounded off our stay well.

Centrally located a few blocks from Copacabana Beach this hotel is ideal for families.
The rooms are spacious even with a sitting room at the front but not sure why as I wouldn’t use it and doubt others would. But this is where the fridge is.
Bathroom is big and spacious and like my hotels in South America the door hits the toilet when you enter. This bathroom has a bidet and had to hunt for the toilet paper which was in a little cupboard flush with the wall. There is a hairdryer but doesn’t blow a lot of heat. Water pressure good and lots of hot water.
I couldn’t get tv to work.
Had two singles that were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked. View was across the road to others hotels which was fine as I snapped a pic of them and when I was coming home late they came in useful as a landmark.
Wifi was average in rooms but better in foyer.
The foyer has a large seating area plus tv.
Restaurant for breakfast was generous in size and variety of food catering for all nationalities.
Staff at the front desk were excellent and spoke good English.
Rooftop pool with gym and seating was very nice.
Only complaint was the noise of water continually flowing from ?? somewhere.
Otherwise well worth a visit.

For South Africans, this is your typical 3* Hotel and the only thing i missed was coffee making facilities in the rooms. Rooms are big, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was amazing and overall staff friendly and helpful. The Location is amazing, 2 blocks walk away from Copacabanna Beach, Restaurants and Markets and Shopping

Room Tip: Amazing views from the roof top swimming pool - for Sunrise and Sunset and Christ te Redeemer on the hill

Stayed here in November, and it is a good quality basic hotel. The View from the rooftop pool is definitely the highlight of this hotel, you can see Copacabana Beach on one side, and Christ the Redeemer on the other. The breakfast was good, with a good variety to change things up each morning. The hotel is very close to shops, bars, restaurants etc, and only 2 blocks away from the beach. Definitely a good choice for decent quality at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: Amazing Rooftop Views

My wife and I stayed at Benidorm for 8 nights and we had a great stay. The hotel is situated very close to Copacabana (2 blocks away / a 7-minutes walk) and it offers deluxe rooms with breakfast included, at very affordable prices.

Our bed was very big and comfortable - the best sleep we had in a long time, during our Brazilian trip :). The room was cool and we didn't need AC. The bathroom was very big and clean.

Breakfast had a lot of diversity and staff was very kind.

On top of the hotel there is a nice swimming pool and access to a great 360-view of the city! Especially by night.

Only down-side - Internet, when accessed form the PC close to the Reception, is very expensive and doesn't work very well. Also, making a local phone call from your room would be quite expensive as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a deluxe room
